Jetlag Dreams album
$9.85 A supremely consistent performer, Chris Isaak can be counted upon to deliver the goods on every album. Since his 1985 debut SILVERTONE, the Bay Area native has kept to a reliable formula of tremolo guitars, echo-drenched Spectoresque production (more "You're Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" than "Be My Baby"), and a remarkable voice triangulated somewhere between Roy Orbison and Johnny Rivers. ALWAYS GOT TONIGHT ...
| | Lambchop Is A Woman CD (2002)
Jetlag Dreams CD music
$12.25 Their sixth album in eight years finds Lambchop weaving ever more intricate tapestries in their luxuriously unfolding music. Kurt Wagner's vocals exude confidence with such subtle passion that they creep up on you, revealing more with every listen. There are wonderfully rich juxtapositions in IS A WOMAN's production, as quiet horns and occasional strings blend with steel guitar and massed electric guitars, but never sound any louder than a small combo. This is particularly notable as there are over ...

| | Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads CDs (1982) Bonus Tracks
Jetlag Dreams songs
$19.19 This live album was originally released as a double LP in 1982, when the Talking Heads were still extremely active. Twenty-two years later, the bonus-laden, two-CD reissue serves as a fascinating in-concert document of the phases the band went through during its first five years. The late-'70s tracks on the first disc show the early version of the band in all its geeky glory, mixing spastic New Wave quirkiness, funk rhythms, and art-school lyrics. It's intriguing to hear the difference between some of the songs' inception and their eventual recorded versions, such as a relatively straightforward "Electricity (Drugs)," which would turn ominous and atmospheric on FEAR OF MUSIC.
The second disc captures the expanded, early-'80s version of the band, with extra musicians and backing vocalists ...

| | Johnny Lippiett Jazz Tones CD (2004)
Jetlag Dreams CD music
$14.79 Born in the UK, Johnny Lippiett started his musical education playing in Rhythm and Blues bands and has been working professionally since age 15. After traveling around North America and Canada learning the language of jazz, his versatile musicianship and uniquely personal style won him a place in the finals of the young jazz musician of the year ('96), which led to work with jazz luminary Courtney Pine. Whilst living in London ('97), he led groups at many esteemed venues such as the Barbican, the Jazz Cafe and the 606 Club. After moving to New Zealand ('99), Johnny quickly became established as one of the most respected and in demand musicians on the scene. He has been a featured artist at many of the international jazz festivals and is regularly busy with concerts, recording, radio broadcasts and visiting overseas artists. As well as his creative work, recent commercial contracts ...
| | Go Find Stars On The Wall CD (2007) Digipak
Jetlag Dreams music CDs
$14.29 Belgian quartet the Go Find have a winning way around low-key but lush electronic pop that suggests everything from Isabelle Antena to St. Etienne and the underrated Surf, all of which can be heard in spades on their excellent second album Stars on the Wall. That said, two other obvious overarching influences are the continuing impact of Radiohead and everything after it -- lead vocalist Dieter Sermeus clearly knew what he was doing when called the last ...
| | Gryphon Midnight Mushrumps CD (1974) (Import) United Kingdom
Jetlag Dreams songs
$16.39 The group was still doing some folk-type vocal numbers on this, their second album, but it was clearly moving in the direction of progressive rock. The 18-minute title track by Richard Harvey took up one whole side of the original LP, and incorporated medieval, baroque, and classical-era influences in its structure. That track is probably ...
