DVD. Feature film. Based on Stephen King novel. Billy Halleck, a 300-pound lawyer, kills a gypsy due to his negligent driving. But thanks to some false evidence, the judge lets Halleck go. However, the deceased's father, a 109-year-old gypsy king, takes justice into his own hands by putting a horrible, ironic curse on the obese man.
Soon, through no effort of his own, Billy becomes thinner. And thinner. And thinner. While this seems like a godsend at first, the hex put on Billy quickly becomes a living nightmare -- with no end in sight... An overweight, big-shot attorney enters into a losing compact with a vengeful gypsy, resulting to his brief joy in a dramatic and persistent loss of unwanted pounds. Based on the book by best-selling author Stephen King. Released theatrically in the USA October 25, 1996.

Just watched it two days ago, Thinner is about a gypsy man seeking revenge for the accidental killing of his daughter. Most of the cast was unfamiliar, except for Joe Mantegna. He had a small part in the movie; but you should check him out in the movie called, Baby's Day Out. It is extremely funny. Thinner is a must see film. I enjoy Stephen King's movies because I like horror films.

I don't get it, why did stephen king write this? was it because he felt he needed to loose a couple of pounds or was it a message to his daughter to get off her lazy fat but and do some sit ups you fat slobe, you no good waste of lard. you so fat superman cant even carry you. well what do you say fattie mc fat twinkey. any way I though this movie deserved a 1 star because well look at stephen kings daughter dag on she is fat. and that is the funnyest ever of stephen king. hey naomi king your so fat when your dad wrote a book about your weight and it had 3,000 pages hahahahahahahahahah, talk about something scary, man you are a fat cow aren't you, isn't she stephen king "yeah man she really is man she so fat fat man" that was stephen king talking and well I have to go lunch break what are you eating naomi besides everything ahahah
