Kubojah album
$16.05 Celtic Woman, initially a one-shot collaboration by six leading Irish vocalists for a 2004 PBS special, struck a chord of adoration for the Emerald Isle, a fancy affecting both sides of the Atlantic, and swiftly became a permanent collective. THE GREATEST JOURNEY captures many of the best moments of elegant harmonizing by the act, from their serene and rapturous take on Enya's "Orinoco Flow" to the mournful yet poppily uplifting indigenous folk of "You Raise Me Up."
Import pressing includes two bonus tracks, Mo Ghile Mear (Live From Slane Castle) and Spanish Lady (Live From Slane Castle). Since their beginning in 2005, Irish vocal phenomenon Celtic Woman have sold 4 million units worldwide and occupied the #1 spot on the Billboard World Music Chart for a record-breaking 90 consecutive weeks. The ...
| | Dead Can Dance/Garden Of The Arcane Delight CD (1984) Reissue; Special Edition; Extended Play
Kubojah CD music
$11.99 On the evidence of this, the band's first record, Dead Can Dance can clearly be seen as a "Goth" group in the vein of Bauhaus, et al. The band's sound here is much more clearly based in the "contemporary"--Dead Can Dance uses traditional song structures, the group's instrumentation is almost entirely synthesized, and co-vocalist Lisa Gerrard's voice rarely gets into the truly ethereal, other-worldly realms that it would on later albums. Perhaps the most surprising single ...

| | Will Lee Oh! CD (2004)
Kubojah songs
$18.99 Will took up drums after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, and by the time he was 12 had formed his first band in Miami. The band members each earned $9 a night playing the popular surfing tunes characteristic of the 60's. But in Miami, drummers were a dime a dozen. Will, with his diverse talents, shifted to bass, an instrument that offered more opportunities. Quickly becoming a successful bass player, Will was part of a succession of bands including top 40 bands with names like "Chances R" "The Loving Kind",and "Green Cloud." Will had a formal musical education at the University of Miami, where he studied French horn for a year and then s witched to a bass major. After classes, he worked on bass fundamentals listening to not only the Beatles, but also Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Miller, The Rascals, Motown, Sly & the Family Stone, etc. He would put it all into practice six sets a night gigging with various local bands, including an innovative horn band called "Goldrush." The Will Lee reputation spread throughout the music world, and brought New York looking for him. Trumpeter Randy Brecker called Will out of class one day and invited him to NYC to audition for "Dreams". In New York, Will's career soared. He toured with B.J.Thomas, Horace Silver, Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, The Brecker Brothers, and Herbie Mann. Gaining experience ...

| | Beck Sian Waltzing Matilda CD (2008)
Kubojah music CDs
$7.45 Praise for \'Waltzing Matilda\' by Beck Sià n...\"Her (Beck Sià n\'s) voice is so pure, so stirring. Her heart and spirit are in these songs. This is an intensely personal record: a deeply moving experience for the listener.\"As a special, personal project, Beck Sià n brings together moving ballads of her Welsh and Irish ancestry and places them side by side with two very Australian songs - one contemporary and one traditional. \'Waltzing Matilda\' is a heartfelt collection of four songs that connect Beck Sià n with her family and origins. Performed with rare emotional depth, \'Waltzing Matilda\' reveals the Celtic-Australian musical connection as we\'ve never heard it before. Beck says, \"This collection of songs is a temporary departure from the way that I usually paint with music. The vibe is a touch more \"folky\" and less about ambient soundscapes than on my \'Unfurling\' CD. The songs on \'Waltzing Matilda\' have very strong emotional significance for me, so I wanted to keep them very honest and raw - it\'s all about the feelings and moods. My main concern was to interpret how these songs make me feel, using my voice. \'Waltzing Matilda\' is a beautiful, sad ghost story. We are exposed to jolly, bouncy versions of this song, especially as children at school, but if you listen to the lyrics, it\'s actually a lonely, melancholy tale of a spirited homeless man. I wanted to present a thoughtful, sympathetic version of this traditional song, and I think I\'ve achieved that. \"Praise for Beck Sià n\'s CD \'Unfurling\'...\"Some ...
