Following the precedent established by previous label best-of's like Blind Pig Sampler (1990) and Blind Pig Records: 20th Anniversary Collection (1997), Blind Pig Records' 25th Anniversary Collection digs into the blues label's deep archive for a number of classic performances. Some of the featured performances include B.B. King and Arthur Adams' "Get You Next to Me," Taj Mahal and Big Bill Morganfield's "Strong Man Holler," Muddy Waters' "Honey Bee," and Coco Montoya's "Fear No Evil." Wide ranging blues compilation. It is an excellent addition to my collection. Some of the recordings are old and therefore the sound quality is not always superior, though.

Hey, it ain't Stevie Ray or Kenny Wayne...but it is a lot of good blues music. All varities, all good sound, all played to perfection. If you only like, "Tin Pan Alley" or "Blue on Black"....then this isn't for you. If you like the Blues in all the variations it can bring. This is a great buy for any collection. Hell it is a collection.

Ya know, you always hear that, "this is the best one to have1", and then you are disappointed in it. Well you won't be with this one! Buy it, try it, you'll like it. I promise.

This is the one. If you want to get into the blues. If you want to add to your blues collection if you even think you like the blues, buy this CD. I am listoning to the 2'n CD and haven't even touched the free CDrom. This CD will last forever.

Good Blues
A good mix of older & newer blues artists. If you are fan of blues you should have this collection of various artists.
