The best war movie i have ever seen. George C. Scott makes an incredible performance. Truly an awesome film!

Even after the passage of time, this movie should not be missed by younger viewers as a reaffirmation of what the defence of democracy is all about. The charactisation of Patton by George C Scott is masterful as are all the other players. Patton's grasp of reality in knowing what had to be done, unpopular as it was at the time, did much to bring a lengthy, tragic war to an end. The movie is well deserving of its long list of awards.

||Awesome WWII movie|
Geo.C. Scott gave a magnificent portrayal of General S. Patton. Well supported by Karl Maldon and other actors the movie (following an inspiring monologue) begins with the defeat of US solders at Kasserine Pass due to poor dicipline and inferior equipment. Enter George Patton! Movie stays on track from the highs and lows of his career. Much insight to the general is given throughout the movie allowing the audience to feel the convictions and political struggle of the man. Movie was shot in techicolor on several European & African locations creates a real cinema sensation. A must own, especially if you have a surround-sound AV setup. .
