Bill & Gloria Gaither Billy Graham Music Homecoming Vol. 2 CD

The second volume in this timely series features members of the Billy Graham Crusades such as Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, Andrae Crouch, and Avalon in a collection of worship songs that provides inspiration, succor, and an opportunity for meditation in equal parts. Though Billy Graham himself doesn't appear, his absence is more than compensated for by such songs as the uplifting "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power," the traditional "Morning Has Broken," (which here crosses religious boundaries in previously being a hit for that well-known Muslim Yusuf Islam in his former incarnation as Cat Stevens), and the expressive "Can't Nobody Do Me Like Jesus."

The Gaither organization is by now a well-oiled machine, and A BILLY GRAHAM MUSIC HOMECOMING is an expertly assembled set that combines old favorites with more contemporary fare. It's a perfect example of modern day worship music.
