Hard To Find 45'S On CD, Vol. 6: More Sixties Classics
$10.15 For as long as Lindsey Reightley can remember she has always been in love with music. Born in Bend, Oregon and raised amongst a family of musicians she began to show great potential at a very young age. “Music has been like a second language for me. As a child I would sing into the end of a jump rope for hours at a time. I was raised in a very musical family and singing and performing were just a part of what we all did when we got together” she recalls. Lindsey began taking voice lessons at age 12 and studied violin seriously from the age of 11 until mid-way through high school as well as being self taught on both piano and guitar but it was always clear that her passion was vocal music. In high school Lindsey sang in the honors Motown band and also managed to earn a name for herself as the national anthem singer thanks to her many performances at sporting events including the Prefontaine Classic where she sang for a crowd of over 20,000. By 16 Lindsey had begun writing her own music and at the age of 17, (2004) was awarded a scholarship to attend the summer music program at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston where other artists such as John Mayer, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks and ...
