Closed Captioned; Additional Footage; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; Director's Comments; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Behind The Scenes Following their success five years before with SWINGERS, Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn team up again in MADE, a comedy about two very different down-on-their-luck L.A. friends who get caught up in a dangerous deal in New York City. Favreau stars as Bobby, a hardworking, very serious construction worker who dreams of becoming a boxer and settling down with his stripper girlfriend (Famke Janssen) and her young daughter. Vaughn plays Ricky, an obnoxious ne'er-do-well who thinks that pulling off a big job for boss Max (Peter Falk) will be their ticket to the big time. The duo is sent off to New York to take part in a deal they know nothing about; while Bobby waits calmly for them to be discreetly contacted, Ricky never shuts his mouth, barking orders at random people, flashing his green and his wry smile all over town, annoying the heck out of everyone he meets, especially Ruiz (Sean "P-Diddy" Combs), who is their connection. The film is beautifully shot by master cinematographer Christopher Doyle, who recently filmed Wong Kar-Wai's stunning IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE. Bobby and Ricky make the perfect pair; Favreau is often silent in scenes, watching deadpan as Vaughn steals the show as the brazen, overbearing, but lovable Ricky. To lend authenticity to the film, Favreau shot it in such landmarks as Hollywood High, Tavern on the Green, and the Central Park Zoo, and he hired SOPRANOS stars Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy), Federico Castelluccio (Furio), and Drea de Matteo (Adriana) to further the mob connection. The film was coproduced by Peter Billingsley, who played Ralphie in 1983's beloved A CHRISTMAS STORY. Made Reviews: "...Mr. Favreau goes back the roots of verite independent film, having the sleazy milieu photographed by the two-fisted cinematographer Chris Doyle....Mr. Doyle gets the low-life wooziness just right..."

Made Movie Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) Everybody has a Ricky in their lives If they're lucky.
Laugh a minute, heartwrenching, and full of action. One of my faves. See Swingers if you like Made. Submitted by matthews503 (Houston TX) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Disappointing I read alot of good reviews about this movie and thought it would be funny.I was very disappointed. Both of the leads give impressive performances, but the story and the rest of the cast does'nt do them any justice. Some people might find this enjoyable, but I did'nt. Favreau/Vaughn at their best.... I watched this film, like many of you, after watching and enjoying Swingers. This film is nothing like Swingers, and I was glad. Many people were disappointed in this film, but I absolutely loved it. I thought it was hilarious and extremely fun to watch. The replay value is greater than Swingers as well.
The DVD is one of the greatest DVD's I have ever come across, at least as far as the bonus material is concerned. A great film and disc all together. Submitted by a reviewer (Minneapolis, MN) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$10.45 Built To Spill abandoned any strictly lo-fi leanings long before ANCIENT MELODIES OF THE FUTURE, the band's fifth full-length release, but it is with this album that the trio's near-perfect balance of indie- (almost math-) rock and surprisingly irresistible pop hooks hits stride for a full, satisfying LP. ANCIENT MELODIES OF THE FUTURE retains the line-up of Doug Martsch, bassist Brett Nelson, and drummer Scott Piouf for a third go around, and the consistency has paid off for the most level album of their career. From tracks like the insistent opening track "Strange" to the meanderingly beautiful "The Weather," the album flat mesmerizes.
People forget that these Idahoans would be just as at home on classic rock radio as on the college playlists they occupied throughout the '90s. Built To ...

$9.69 Director Bryan Singer's labyrinthine crime drama centers on five career criminals (played by Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Spacey, Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Pollak, and Stephen Baldwin) who meet after being rounded up for a standard police line-up. Upon their release, the men band together to pull off an intricate heist involving $3 million worth of emeralds. Their success brings them to the attention of the enigmatic Keyser Soze, an unseen, nefarious, and mythic underworld crime figure who coerces them into pulling off an important and highly dangerous job. The scenes that follow make THE USUAL SUSPECTS one of the most fascinating crime thrillers in cinema history.
Working from the Oscar-winning screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie, Singer adroitly tells the complex story through flashbacks, cross-cutting, and voice-over narration. Such nimble handling of the intricacies ...

$15.29 Director Ron Howard casts comedian Jim Carrey in the title role in this live-action adaptation of the famous Christmas tale by Dr. Seuss, giving this rendition of HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS a delightfully manic spin. Carrey is virtually unrecognizable in his elaborate green makeup, but his anarchic comic touch is unmistakable. He manages to fully embody the grumpy title character, while still supplying ...
