Reptile album for sale Product Description
Reptile album for sale by Eric Clapton was released Nov 06, 2001 on the Reprise label. "Reptile" won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. Reptile CD music During the recording of the follow-up to his Grammy-winning collaboration with B.B. King, Eric Clapton's uncle passed away. This loss, coupled with Clapton's struggle to get on a creative track, led to REPTILE, a reflective album driven by a number of impressive stylistic turns. | Clapton gets better every year A nice mix of all kind of styles, but nevertheless true Clapton. It starts off with the title song and you are right away in the middle of a great journey. The sound is excellent and coming from all sides, without using the rear speakers only as some gimmick. The sound is nice in stereo, but in multi-channel it is simply one of the best I've heard so far. You are there and enjoy it a lot. Next is "Got you on my mind", which is a nice kind of shuffle blues. Actually all songs are good; so it was pretty surprising, that Clapton only used the forementioned 2 songs and " I want a little girl" on the following world tour. " Broken Down" and "Don't let me be lonely tonight" are so good , that they should have been used as well. Highly recommended this DVD-A, for starters but also for fans of EC a nice collection of songs with a fantastic sound. 4 stars for the music and 5 stars for the sound. By boguspomp (Los Angeles) |
| Clapton keeps his art fresh From his beginnings as an artist with electric guitar rock through his revolutionary unplugged work, Eric Clapton keeps improving upon his gifts. Maybe his life's less than pleasant experiences have molded his work, but with every disc he seems to be able to express a passion for his craft that only benefits the listener. Highly recommended. | I love this album!!! It still sounds fresh, and I love that there are some songs you'd never think were "Eric Clapton" tunes. By Jennifer (Holyoke, MA) This review is for a different format. |
| Great! This album is probably the best one old Slowhand has made in years(orignal material that is),so why only 4 stars? Because "From the cradle" is harder and rawer and most probably unbeatable. Though a bit too cleanly produced(for my taste)this is definitely a step in the right direction, get it and get yourself some good music.
