This 105 minute DVD was recorded live in Oakland at the historic Paramount Theater. Bonnie is joined by friends Bryan Adams, Jackson Browne, Bruce Hornsby, and Kim Wilson on this program which includes many of her best known and Grammy award-winning hits. Songs featured include "Something To Talk About", "Love Sneakin' Up On You", "Longing In Their Hearts", and "Angel From Montgomery." Country rock diva Bonnie Raitt sings some of her best-loved songs -- and welcomes musical guests Bryan Adams, Jackson Browne and Bruce Hornsby. A sort of earthy yet tough female cowboy, singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt has quietly crossed gender boundaries to become a musician of consistently high quality. On ROAD TESTED, the country-rock performer is filmed in concert performing eleven songs. The guest performers, who include Bruce Hornsby and Jackson Browne, are a testament to her talent. Tracks include "Rock Steady" (with Bryan Adams), "Thing Called Love" (with Bruce Hornsby), "Burning Down the House" and more. Tracks include:
"Thing Called Love"
"Something to Talk About"
"Love Letters"
"Never Make Your Move to Soon"
"Shake a Little"
"Matters of the Heart"
"Have a Heart"
"Love Me Like a Man"
"The Kokomo Medley"
"Louise"
"Dimming of the Day"
"My Opening Farewell"

Bonnie Raitt - Road Tested Movie Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) A Great Concert Although Bonnie has been around a long time I have just recently starting to really explore her work. This concert shows her and a great band with special guests in a very tight, enjoyable show. Glad to have it as part of my collection. One Great Blue's Lady Caught her act on local (NY) public television during a fund raiser. Made me a lifetime fan. Her "Road Tested" CD recorded live is one for the ages. Kudo's to the sound engineer, and Bonnie's band. Just awsome. Best double CD I've owned in a long time. Had to put it on my I-pod for listing when I do my evening walks at the park.
Gotta love that Ko Ko Mo Medley. Submitted by Lou (Jersey City, NJ, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
4 1/2 stars actually...... I didn't give this 5 stars but it comes pretty close. The words CONFIDENT, SMOKING & ITS ABOUT TIME
speak volumes to the talents of Bonnie
Raitt and her wonderful Band. Bonnie's
vocals(especially inside a theater) are awesome and this collection starts
off with a bang and takes you the listener on a journey from all over Bonnie's 3 decade long road party. Just
listen to Bonnie Raitt play that slide
guitar, shes a mastercraftsman at her
trade, great recordings.
Having seen her more 30 times over the
years I can speak to her power when
it comes to singing and on Road Tested
we have some of her best loved and
intense gems, "I can't make you love me", "Dimming of the day", "Have a heart", 70's-80's favorites "Love me like a man", "Louise", "Angel from Montgomery", "Three time loser" to the
more up to date sounds of Bonnie's second career with the rocking slide
guitar "Thing called love", "Love Letter" and detours into some great
R&B with the great Ruth & Charles Brown on "Never make your move to soon" and other special guests Bryan
Adams and long time friend Jacksone Brown on duets. Bonnie does sneak in
a few new tunes but they really never
reach the impact of the more familar
tunes. It would have had a bigger impact had she included her classic
song "NICK OF TIME", about growing older and dealing
with all that life throws at you is
the most mature song Bonnie's ever written and touched so many woman and
men across the world. She plays it
live with such intensity on the keyboards. All and all this is tight band that plays
all styles effortlessly and only make
Bonnie's music that much more potent.
Great stuff LIVE!! Submitted by littlebibs (Kingston, New Hampshire USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Bonnie Raitt - Road Tested review
$21.29 THE VERY BEST OF includes a 46-page booklet with pictures and track information.
"Hole In The World" was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
This 1994 greatest hits package (released in anticipation of the band's wildly successful reunion tour and album) supplants THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975. It adds seven songs, but unfortunately deletes "Already Gone," one of their best rockers.
What's most interesting about THE VERY BEST OF THE EAGLES - apart from the presence of obviously classic songs like "Take It Easy" and "Hotel California" - is that it demonstrates that the band's esthetic was fully formed from day one. Despite the fact that the songs here span nearly a decade, listening to them back to back you could almost believe they were the product of one marathon recording ...
