This 2001 release from the eclectic French duo contains 13 tracks, including, "Satellite", " Action", and "Mr. Fresh".

Japanese version features two bonus tracks: "Supermunion", and "Delta Card"

Breaking on U.S. shores hot on the heels of French outfits like Air, Daft Punk, and Mellow, the duo of Stéphane Bodin and Françoise Marché boast a danceable sound that should be all too familiar to fans of any of the aforementioned groups. Taking a healthy dose of disco, a dash of house, a sprinkle of electro-funk, and enough vocoder-processed vocals to make Midnight Starr jealous, Bosco sounds like the last 25 years of dance music jammed into a groove processor, then set on frappé. The band has a colorful personality and an uncanny ear for melodic hooks, which lends tracks like "Satellite" and "Nonstop Nonsense" (which features B-52's frontman Fred Schneider on vocals) an infectiousness that's hard to deny. But their unusual sense of musical simplicity occasionally makes Action feel like a techno novelty, with minimalist jingles like "Mr. Fresh" making Trio's "Da Da Da" sound about as complex as "Bohemian Rhapsody" by comparison. This isn't a bad record by any means, and will almost certainly appeal to fans of Daft Punk in particular, but you might not be able to escape a nagging sense that you've heard it all before. ~ Bret Love

"Lifetime" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. Rebounding from the slight sophomore lag generated by 1998's EMBRYA, Maxwell's follow-up NOW abandons the neo-soul man's usual M.O. of using a conceptual arc of songs, and instead focuses on individual cuts. Romance remains the main ingredient found in this Brooklyn native's banquet ...

Get Faamous
Get Faamous CD  (2004)

Faamous StoryTwo years ago, Brian Evans was working a job as a mindless office worker. This job was one of many. In fact he'd spent the last five years working mindless office positions: mail clerk, file clerk, office clerk, video clerk, you name it, he did it. He'd hoped that taking the job with the least amount of responsibility would leave him free to leave at a moment's notice when his aspirations of a career in film and music came to fruition. Unfortunately, waiting for fame to come calling had become a full time occupation in itself. But when he got fired from yet another job for his "lack of enthusiasm", Evans had an epiphany. "I kept going through this cycle of working job after job, never having enough time for my music and film work. After losing that job, I immediately thought to myself, 'F*** Work!'. It was time to jump head first into what I really wanted to do".

Evans started collecting unemployment and took on the rap name Faamous, a nickname that many of his friends had given him because of his relentless drive to make it entertainment. "I figured it might be a self fullfilling prophecy."-FaamousThen the concept came to him almost full blown. "F*** Work! Get Faamous". He spent the next year writing and producing his CD, Get Faamous. The concept CD written and produced solely by the rapper, contains sixteen tracks of original material that is an anomaly by today's rap standards. The set boasts a wide range of topics and a use of story telling and wit that is seldom seen in today's rap fare. The album starts with "Superstar", a comedic story about a no talent fast food worker who after watching MTV Cribs decides to become a rap star even though he can't rap, and the track is certain to provide some laughs. But the CD quickly switches gears, downshifting into Hopeless, a melancholy tale of how Faame seems to be questioning his own sanity as he copes with poverty and his inability to succeed. "I just told my personal stories and put them to hot beats".

-FaamousThe CD is already creating major buzz on the New York streets and his motto seems to have struck a cord with audiences. ...
