Recorded live at the Little Pensacola Theater, Pensacola, Florida.
This portly, unfunny Southern comedian propagates nearly every stereotype of his region: he's slow, simple, and a right-wing flag-waver. He (allegedly) finds his funny in observing everyday life, but unless you're an easily amused senior citizen or a redneck, you'll find Bubba and his material execrable. ~ Michael Gallucci

| | Christmas With The New Christy Minstrels: Complete! CD (2001)
I'm Confused music CDs
$14.05 Christmas With the New Christy Minstrels: Complete! offers not one, but two albums by the group of the same name. Interestingly, because of a number of personnel changes, none of the members present for Merry Christmas! in 1963 remained with the group in 1966 when Christmas With the Christies was recorded. While the group has been eclipsed by Peter, Paul, and Mary over time, the New Christy Minstrels' star shone as bright as any folk group in the mid-'60s. The group carved out a unique choral sound, achieved with the help of nine members. When the Christies combined complex arrangements with ...

| | Vince Gill Let There Be Peace On Earth CD (1993)
I'm Confused CD music
$5.25 Christmas music releases have become a country music tradition, but the result is often generic mushy background instrumentation on the same moldy standards. Guilty of this is Vince Gill, whose Let There Be Peace on Earth is as cliche-ridden ...
| | Jeannie C Riley Harper Valley P.T.A.: The Very Best Of Jeannie C. Riley CD (1999)
I'm Confused music CDs
$10.55 Known mostly for the number one pop and country hit "Harper Valley P.T.A.," Jeannie C. Riley made it big in Music City right when the Nashville sound starting showing a few crossover signs smacking of the psychedelic '60s. With a voice somewhere in the vicinity of Ann Margaret after years of booze and cigarettes, Riley offers up her own youth culture statement on "The Generation Gap" and sings of being down and out to the tune of an imitation electric sitar on "Backside of Dallas." ...
| | Steve Earle El Corazon CD (1997)
I'm Confused songs
$6.45 All tracks have been digitally mastered using HDCD technology.
EL CORAZON was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
Steve Earle was a country-rock renegade when Uncle Tupelo were still in short pants and NO DEPRESSION was an inscription on a Prozac bottle. EL CORAZON stands as a milestone in the long, checkered career of an artist who's been to hell and back without losing an ounce of his songwriting talent. This uniformly excellent batch of tunes alternates between gentle acoustic ballads and hard-rocking numbers that could give those grunge boys a run for their money. (In fact, Seattle's Supersuckers guest on one track.)
On the opener, "Christmas in Washington," Earle invokes the spirit of bygone heroes like Woody Guthrie and Martin Luther King in service of an unpretentious folk ballad of socio-political discontent. He shows off his storytelling chops on the rocking "Taneytown," supported by the breathy harmonies of Emmylou Harris. The elegiac "Ft. Worth Blues" pays tribute to Earle's old running buddy and primary influence, the late Townes Van Zandt. Throughout, the album lives up to its title, spilling messy emotions all over the place and wallowing in the carnage.

| | Curtis Mayfield Superfly CD (1972)
I'm Confused album
$8.69 With his socially conscious messages and positive, pro-active stance, Curtis Mayfield seemed an unlikely candidate to score a blaxploitation film. That SUPERFLY resulted not only in an excellent soundtrack for the film, but in one of Mayfield's best albums, is all the more surprising. In fact, Mayfield's forward-thinking philosophy added a layer of depth to the movie, painting its realistic urban scenes through song ...
| | Jamie O'Neal Shiver CD (2000) Enhanced CD
I'm Confused CD music
$12.65 "There Is No Arizona" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Awards for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and for Best Country Song. "When I Think About Angels" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
Jamie O'Neal's debut album is country only in the broadest sense of the word. Sure, she recorded it in Nashville, assisted by a bunch of country session vets, and the album includes a duet with country heartthrob Mark Wills. Beyond those facts and an underlying twang in her voice, though, O'Neal's music is closer to mainstream pop than anything else. From the '80s-sounding ...
