Let's get the clichéd bad joke out of the way to begin with: At the time Michael Jackson released Invincible in the fall of 2001, he hardly seemed "invincible" -- it was more wishful thinking than anything else, since he hadn't really had a genuine hit in ten years, and even that paled in comparison to his total domination of the '80s. That lack of commercial success, combined with a fading reputation as a trailblazer, a truly ugly public scandal, and swirling rumors about his diminishing finances, along with a huge wait between albums (by teaming his Dangerous follow-up with a hits collection, it wound up being overlookRolling Stone (12/13/01, p.149) - 3 stars out of 5 - "...Fleet, durable R&B minimalism....and ballads ranging from Los Angeles smooth to the odd. Michael Jackson Invincible Songs Invincible Music Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Pretty good I was impressed! I didn't think he'd be able to pull it off very well, but Michael jackson's new CD, Invincible, really amazed me! I heard it from someone else's collection and I had to buy one for myself! Jackson keeps the style he is known for and modifies it to create a funky cool sound. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who has ever liked Michael Jackson's music. Invincible
$19.79 Memphis's always vociferous rap group, Three 6 Mafia returns with their latest record Most Known Unknown. The new album includes the smash hit single 'Stay Fly' (featuring 8 Ball & MJG and Young Buck of G-Unit), as well as guest appearances from Project Pat, Lil' Flip, DJ Kay Slay, and Paul Wall. Columbia. 2005.
Three 6 Mafia: Chrome, Crunchy Black, DJ Kayslay, 8Ball, Frayser Boy, Grandaddy Souf, Juicy J, Lil Wyte, MJG, Paul Wall , Project Pat, Remy Ma, Remy Martin, Slim Thug, Trick Daddy, Young Buck, Lil' Flip, Boogie Mane. Personnel: DJ Paul , Juicy J, Kurt Clayton, Carlos "6 July" Broady (programming). Audio Mixers: Juicy J; DJ Paul ; Mike Foster. Recording information: Hypnotize Minds Studios, Memphis, TN. Photographer: Vincent Soyez. Memphis's Three 6 Mafia had been slugging it out for over a decade and a half before they really hit the mainstream consciousness with their exhilarating performance at the 2006 Academy Awards. 2005's MOST KNOWN HITS is an appropriate introduction to the group led by Juicy J and DJ Paul. The album features album highlights dating back to 1997 and their album CHAPTER 2: WORLD DOMINATION, generally considered their breakthrough-it was certainly the first that made them a name outside of regional radio. Three 6's songs do tend to begin sounding the same: Simple 808 beats under mostly sparse synths, as the rappers boast about bitches and weed, while threatening their detractors. This type of hip-hop is made for parties, and thus the greatest-hits package finds hits like "Sippin' on Some Syrup" and "Hit a Muthafucka" better served than on their respective albums where they might get lost amid the filler. As with practically every successive Three 6 Mafia album, Most Known Unknown is more of the same, executed a little bit better than before. That means a parade of first-rate productions by Juicy J and ...

Invincible
$12.69 Pentagram: Bobby Liebling (vocals); Greg Wayne, Vincent McAllister, Geof O'Keefe. Producers includes: Skip Groff, Phillip Knudsen, Mitch Corday, Pentagram, Mayne O'Keefe. Engineers includes: Bill McElroy, Mitcy Corday, Tim Howell. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Personnel: Bobby Liebling (vocals); Vince McAllister (guitar); Geof O'Keefe (drums). Audio Mixers: Geof O'Keefe; Greg Mayne; Mark McCrite. Photographer: Geof O'Keefe. One of heavy metal's great lost bands resurfaces in this follow-up to its previous best-of collection, FIRST DAZE HERE. Based in Washington, D.C., Pentagram existed in various forms during the 1970s and '80s, never achieving anything but local recognition. This collection of demo and live recordings captures the band at its rawest, sounding surprisingly contemporary on cuts like "Wheel of Fortune," while "Show 'Em How" is a stunning display of unique blues power. The band displays its pre-Led Zeppelin roots with a cover of the Yardbirds' "Little Games," showing on "Yes I Do" that it also had pop smarts to spare, while "Virgin Death" is a masterly demonstration of its full-on metal skills. Though the band's first official album wouldn't be released for over a decade after they first formed, this criminally overlooked Virginia-based Pentagram was an ...
