Sara, who refuses to accept that her father has died, escapes from the school to search for him, believing that if she can find him, her tragic days of abuse and poverty may be over. The production values in this enthralling riches-to-rags-to-riches Victorian drama are lavish, and the plot and performances are deftly handled by director Walter Lang, but it is of course the irresistibly charming Temple who ensures THE LITTLE PRINCESS a lasting place in the hearts of her fans, film lovers, and children of all ages. Seth MacFarlane's animated comedy continues its assault on pop culture, good taste, and the Fox censors with its riotous fifth and sixth seasons. Meanwhile, Brian causes tension between Peter and himself when he blurts out a profession of love for Lois during a Martha’s Vineyard getaway and later discovers he’s the illegitimate father of a puppy who’s dropped off on the Griffins' front door. Then, shortly after Peter acquires a record containing his favorite song, "Surfin’ Bird," and annoys everybody with it until it is destroyed, he goes out to buy a new one and ends up befriending Jesus, who was disguised as a music-store clerk. This collection contains the last four episodes of the sixth season and the first nine episodes of the seventh season.

Horror legend Boris Karloff and a young Jack Nicholson team up in this disjointed but enjoyable Roger Corman quickie. Nicholson plays Lieutenant Andre Duvalier, an officer under Napoleon who finds himself lost along a stretch of beach, where he is seduced by the beautiful Helene (Sandra Knight), who may or may not be a ghost. His obsession leads him to the gloomy castle of Baron Von Leppe (Karloff), a recluse haunted by the ghost of his dead wife, Ilse, who Andre suspects is actually Helene, or vice versa. Longtime Corman regular Dick Miller plays Stefan, Von Leppe's trusty servant, and Dorothy Neumann is a witch who may be using Helene as a tool for revenge. All the characters do lots of skulking around the gloomy sets and outdoors along the beautiful Big Sur coastline, where the exteriors were filmed. Corman shot the interior scenes in two days, on sets left standing from his previous film, THE RAVEN. Though a little short on coherence, it's a lot of fun, and it's great to see Karloff and Nicholson together in a sort of passing of the torch. A nicely ominous mood maintains itself with the help of Ronald Stein's robust score.
