| Average Rating: (4.4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Amazing, although expensive I've been doubting a long time whether to buy this deluxe edition of the Kiss box set or the standard set. Finally I decided to go for the deluxe edition.
This set is beautifully packed in a deluxe guitar case.It also has a hardbound book.
The deluxe edition does not contain extra music compared to the standard edition. That's a bit of a disappointment, since this set costs almost $100 more. The packaging does not justice this huge price difference, but as a Kiss collector I just had to have this edition of the set.
CD 1 and 2 are the best. They have the most unreleased tracks, and that's what's a box set is all about. Kiss could have done a much better job on CD3-5, which contains a lot of previously released stuff.
In general, the remastered sound is great. Particularly, the unplugged tracks sound amazing.
In conclusion, this is a great set, although very expensive. Kiss fans have to decide for themselves whether they want to pay this extra money. In my case, no regrets!! Submitted by a reviewer (Wageningen, The Netherlands) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
could have been better... the Kiss box set has been wildly anticipated for years.. however.. they could have included many more demos and previously unreleased live tracks than they did.. and also ENOUGH of the Ace and Peter bashing.. Gene and Paul played a major influence in this band, but now they seem to take credit for just about everything, and love to dis Ace and Pete... I had really looked forward to this set, but now that I have it, I'm feeling let down..
rock on,
