Australian edition features the bonus track "Could It Be Forever", a duet with Hearsay.
THEN AND NOW collects some of David Cassidy's most-loved tunes from his Partridge Family glory days and throws in a few new tracks for good measure. While Cassidy and his milieu have never been overly burdened with hip credibility, a reassessment of some of this material reveals some very real pleasures. The sophisticated songcraft, spiraling harpsichord, and rich, sunny vocal harmonies of "I Think I Love You," "I Woke Up in Love This Morning," and of course, the Partridges' indelible theme "C'mon Get Happy" compare favorably with the California sunshine pop of the Association (whose "Cherish" gets an update here) and the Mamas & the Papas. The newer tunes stand in stark sonic contrast to the baroque pop of those chestnuts, framed by rhythm loops and synthesizers, but Cassidy's voice seems to have aged hardly a day since his teen-idol era. C'mon, get happy!
In the first half of the 70's David Cassidy was the biggest teen idol in the world, selling over 25 million records. It all started in the U.S. where he was given the lead in The Partridge Family and the rest is history. All his major hits are included in this package plus new tracks, including the bonus track 'Could It Be Forever' his duet with Hear'say. This is the first time there has been a David Cassidy ultimate collection on CD.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.

Then And Now album
$11.65 Crossword Puzzle was the eighth LP from the Partridge Family -- a multimedia, made-for-TV project that hit marketing pay dirt learning lessons from the success of the Monkees' manufactured origins, as well as the real-life pop/rock family the Cowsills. As a weekly prime time sitcom, The Partridge Family ran on ABC-TV from September 25, 1970, through August 31, 1974. As musical artists, they further mimicked the Monkees' phenomenon by having primary cast members -- in this case, Shirley Jones (vocals) and David Cassidy (vocals) ...
| | David Cassidy Rock Me Baby CD (1972) Remastered
Then And Now CD music
$9.25 Former teen idol David Cassidy's second solo album for Bell Records is an attempt at blue-eyed soul that, for the most part, works well. Rock Me Baby was more expressive than anything he was allowed to record on the Partridge Family sessions. These 11 tracks show off Cassidy's vocal range (and his personal taste in music), but there's nothing as catchy here as on the Partridge Family's albums; but, then again, that was the point. Rock Me Baby doesn't contain ...
| | Clay Aiken Measure Of A Man CD (2003)
Then And Now music CDs
$8.99 A genuine pop culture phenomenon who unexpectedly transcended the instant fame granted by his second-place finish in the AMERICAN IDOL competition, Clay Aiken made a decidedly un-hip media figure, often looking and sounding more like George Bush's nerdy, Andrew Lloyd Weber-loving nephew than a sexy or dangerous ...
| | Rick Springfield Shock/Denial/Anger/Acceptance CD (2004)
Then And Now songs
$10.39 Long before Rick Springfield was a soapie star on American television or riding the U.S. charts with the pop/rock of "Jessie's Girl" and "Don't Talk to Strangers," the Australian-born heartthrob played rock & roll with a variety of bands in his country of origin. The most successful of those outfits, the Zoot, scored a hit in 1969 with a heavy'n'gritty version of the Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby." At times during Shock/Denial/Anger/Acceptance, you can hear Springfield digging down to those rugged roots. The pop sensibilities are still intact, but from the opening bars of the first track, "Perfect," the guitars are tougher and ...
