Ensiferum album for sale Product Description
Ensiferum album for sale by Ensiferum was released Apr 04, 2006 on the Spinefarm label. A half-decade's worth of inconsistent activities amid occasional demo recordings gave little indication that the members of Ensiferum (which comes from the Latin words for "sword bearer") would ever give up their multiple alternate projects long enough to create this self-titled debut. And yet, by the time it finally did arrive in 2001, said album delivered with such astonishingly high songwriting and production standards -- not to mention a particularly well-developed thematic vision -- that its dynamic contrasts of extreme and more commercial heavy metal elements instantaneously vaulted Ensiferum to the front of the Viking folk-metal class. Ensiferum CD music contains a single disc with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

| Extreme.. This debut album from the heroic death-folk metal band of Finland is one of my favourite albums ever, and never ceases to amaze me. Every single song is fantastic and completely unique. This album is their best entry and you really cannot go wrong with it, fans of Finntroll, Moonsorrow and Korpiklaani will love this... Stand out tracks: Token of Time, Old Man and Eternal Wait, but every song is brilliant. Word cannot convey how great this album really is, just buy it! | Ensiferum rules When this album came out and my friend played a couple of tracks for me, I just had to have it. Finland seems to produce some of the best metal bands ever and this one has already put out two superb albums. A great combination of power and folk elements with rasp vocals. | Eaxactly the way it shows The CD came in perfect condition and sounds awsome. By Shay (Lethbridge,AB) This review is for a different format. |
| Intense Burst of Winter Air This is one of the better folk/viking albums out there. Despite being meticulously crafted (or at the least, very intelligently), it never sacrifices the engagement/enjoyability factor. Guitars and drums rip by at blazing speeds; the crazed vocals of now-departed guitarist/singer Jari Maenpaa are straight from the gut and fit the music very well. With these folk/power/viking albums, keyboards are to be expected, and they are generally well done and thankfully unobtrusive. Another enjoyable bonus was that they varied the instrumentation by adding kantele and other folk instruments. There are only a couple of slow breaks where you get to hear them, though, all other times it's raging fast. Rest assured, if you're looking for a sure bet for an album to introduce you to the folk metal world, this is one of the best to choose.
