Great movie This is a great movie; entertaining and very family friendly. My family has had this movie on VHS for many years, the DVD provides a big improvement in picture and sound quality, plus it allows for scene searches and other nice features; takes up less space too. I highly recommend this movie.

Pollyanna film
$14.39 Based on the journals of Brother Gaspar de Carvajal, AGUIRRE, THE WRATH OF GOD is director Werner Herzog's hallucinatory tale of Spanish colonialists searching for El Dorado, the legendary city of gold, in 16th-century Peru. When the travellers reach an impasse, a scouting party is assembled to search for any traces of the mythical empire. As they attempt to forge their way through the dense jungle, more and more of the party falls ill while their ruthless leader, Don Lope de Aguirre (Klaus Kinski), grows increasingly insane.
Widely considered to be Herzog's finest film, AGUIRRE, which shares much in common with Francis Ford Coppola's APOCALYPSE NOW, highlights the director's visionary approach to filmmaking. Like Coppola's film, accounts of AGUIRRE's shooting are laced with legendary incidents, such as the time Herzog reportedly held a gun to Kinski's head to get him to finish a scene. Whatever transpired between Herzog and Kinski, it made for astonishing cinema, as evidenced by the actor's haunting performance and the entire film's powerfully hypnotic mood.

Pollyanna movie DVD
$10.75 Korean director Ki-Hyung Park (WHISPERING CORRIDORS) continues his exploration of the supernatural with the thriller ACACIA. After a couple's efforts to conceive continually end in disappointment, they adopt young Jin-seong, whose mother has died. Jin-seong seems drawn to a tree in the couple's backyard, constantly climbing and drawing pictures of it. But when his new mother finally manages to become pregnant, Jin-seong disappears, and a number of strange occurrences--and dead bodies--pile up, all seemingly centered on the mysterious tree. ACACIA has the slow pace and atmospheric build-up common to many Asian horror films.
After ten years of marriage, Do-il (Kim Jin-geun) and Mi-sook (Shim Hye-jin) live a seemingly happy and secure life together. Unable to conceive, they decide to adopt Jin-sung (Moon woo-bin), a young boy that Mi-sook is drawn to after seeing his Munch-like paintings. Quiet and introverted, Jin-sung spends most of his time playing underneath the Acacia tree in their backyard, away from the family. When Mi-sook becomes miraculously pregnant, he becomes even more detached. As the once-dead Acacia tree in the backyard begins to bloom, terrible accidents begin to tear the household apart. Is it Jin-sung, or something far more sinister?
