BiographyLloyd (AKA Pablo Irie) Arjun was born in 1961 at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston.Pablo resided with his Mother in the Woodpecker Avenue area of western Kingston before he moved to Clarendon to stay with his Grandmother where he spent much of his youth.It was while in Clarendon that he met a popular entertainer Winston McNuff, otherwise known as âThe Electric Dreadâ. McNuff was also a school teacher during this time. He was never too shy to bring his guitar to school and sing a few of his songs from his archives. Pablo was soon playing the guitar and various other instruments. He later became a back up musician at Church functions and DJ for Local Sound System.During this time he was given the name Pablo Irie by his #1 fan and elder brother Clinton Brown (R.I.P.). He became popular in the country and was known for playing the guitar and singing country and western music for fans with his childhood friend Floyd Malcolm who played the accordion. Floyd was very instrumental due to his passion for music.When Pablo completed high school he moved back to Kingston to seek employment opportunities but to also pursue his musical career. He lived in the Cockburn Pen area of West Kingston with his cousin, Delton Screechie, a popular entertainer, and family. It was there he met Jah Thomas, Nigger Kojack and Lisa just to name a few. ...
