| More than Bonnie Raitt Lots of guests. Very nice in surround. By luttrell7263 (shelbyville, KY) This review is for a different format. |
| Bonnie Raitt's great moment of her life This live set is living proof of Bonnie Raitt's versatility as a performer, singing and playing her way through a varied repertoire covering most of her career up to this point. Though I admire her slide guitar playing a lot, I think her vocal prowess is the one factor, that keeps you coming back for more in the end. She sings effortlessly on a string of ballads especially, with "I Can't Make You Love Me" as the stand out cut, on which she is supported by Bruce Hornsby on piano. The sound - DTS 5.1 surround sound - is a great improvement on the original CD release. Note: The song set is identical with the DVD release, the only big difference being the DTS surround mix included on this album. | Her very best I have owned this live cd for about 5 years. It is by far her best workas well as an incredibly well recorded cd Listening to Angel in Montgomery and Louise still gives me goose bumps, her voice is incredible. On burning down the house if you have the ability to crank you system up LOUD you will be amazed at the acoustics. By garrcon (Iowa City, Iowa) This review is for a different format. |
