The debut album by the U.K.'s long-running second-wave punk act, the Anti-Nowhere League, was originally released in 1982. One of the best albums from the short-lived oi! scene, WE ARE...THE LEAGUE is a stripped-down affair, all aggressive energy and lyrical spittle on genre classics like "We Will Not Remember You" and "Can't Stand Rock and Roll." In 2008, a straight vinyl reissue was released by the estimable British punk archivist label Captain Oi!, with no bonus tracks.
At last! A deluxe digipak version for this acknowledged Punk classic which reached No.24 in the UK charts in 1982. Comes complete with a full colour double sided poster. Includes the UK hit singles ''Streets Of London'', ''I Hate People'' and ''Woman'' as well as the infamous ''So What''. Pure Punk Rock.
Originally released on WXYZ Records in 1982.
Anti-Nowhere League: Nick 'Animal' Culmer (vocals); Magoo (guitar); Winston (bass); P.J. (drums).

We Are...The League album
$7.59 Taj Mahal is one of the significant figures in post-1950s blues, but his sense of playful experimentation always pushes at the boundaries of the genre. GIANT STEP is one of his classics, featuring the singer/guitarist's inimitable gravelly vocals on a range of tunes that mix rural and electric blues, country, and rock. Whether on the trucker anthem "Six Days on the Road," the rollicking "Good Morning Little School Girl," or gems from the blues canon, including covers of Blind Willie Johnson's "You're Gonna Need Somebody on Your Bond" and Leadbelly's "Keep Your Hands Off Her," Taj Mahal is in great form here. In addition, his fine electric backing band lends sass and muscle.

| | Verbal Abuse Just An American Band CD (1996)
We Are...The League music CDs
$13.15 In 1983 and 1984, punk was an idiom that thrived on rawness and gut-level emotion; it was rock & roll at its most primal and basic -- and these hot-blooded, inspired performances are about as primal as it gets. It isn't hard to understand why the band was called Verbal Abuse; songs like "I Hate You," "Disintegration" and "Leeches" rival Black Flag when it comes to having antisocial lyrics. Although original material dominates the CD, there a few noteworthy covers -- including a live performance of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" and an unlikely version of Grand Funk's "We're an American Band." Anyone who appreciates the early-'80s output of Black Flag, Fear or the Circle Jerks is advised to give Just an American Band a close listen. ~ Alex Henderson
This was the first full length done by Verbal Abuse. Its a total hardcore master piece right from the early 80's. Speed, anger frustration and rage all made this full length what it is. After many years of this being out of print Beer City has once again made it available to the masses. Not only does this CD contain the original 'Just an American band ' full length but it also contains a set live from a show that they opened for The Ramones! In this live set are a few songs that have never before been recorded by Verbal Abuse. Not to forget all the power and adrenaline you get to experience from a live show.

| | Mott The Hoople Drive On CD (1975)
We Are...The League CD music
$12.25 Few bands have a sadder coda than Mott the Hoople. Top of their game for three glorious years, one of the U.K.'s best-loved bands for six, the group should have come to a grinding halt the moment frontman Ian Hunter walked out. They'd lost key members before, of course: organist Verden Allen, who composed one of the finest songs in the band's entire repertoire, the churning "Soft Ground"; guitarists Mick Ralphs and Ariel Bender, both of whom drove the group to distinctly different, but similarly spellbinding peaks during their years of lieutenanthood. But Hunter was different. Not only did he sing the majority of the songs, he wrote them as well, while his public image -- long fizzy hair, omnipresent shades -- was so universally well-known that, to many onlookers (the staunchest fans included), he WAS Mott the Hoople. Rhythm section Overend Watts and Bufin, and latter-day keyboard player Morgan Fisher felt otherwise. Recruiting two unknowns to fill the void (guitarist Mick Ronson departed with Hunter) and abbreviating the band name to its most recognizable syllable, the trio began work on a new album almost immediately -- and one still wonders what was really going on in their minds. Of the five, only Watts had any songwriting experience to call upon; indeed, ...
