A superb 25 track hits collection from one of the all time country greats. Hit after hit from his classic 60's and 70's material, including two tracks originally recorded for Epic, along with with Tammy Wynette.
Plays His Greatest Hits is a solid collection of latter-day re-recordings of Jimmy Dorsey's most familiar items. While the performances are fine, they're unexceptional. Nevertheless, it should please the non-discriminating fan, even if they'd be better off with better, more thorough collections of Dorsey's original recordings. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Personnel: Jimmy Dorsey (clarinet, alto saxophone).

Plays His Greatest Hits songs
$11.29 Nearly three decades after 1977's BAT OUT OF HELL, and 13 years after its sequel, BACK INTO HELL, Meat Loaf unleashed BAT OUT OF HELL III: THE MONSTER IS LOOSE. While the album was reportedly bogged down in legal disputes between the drama-loving rock performer (aka Marvin "Michael" Aday) and songwriter Jim Steinman, the longtime collaborators apparently patched things up in time for its release on Halloween of 2006. Also assisting Meat Loaf on this typically bold and wonderfully bombastic outing are Todd Rundgren (on vocal arrangements only) ...

| | Cisco Houston Best Of The Vanguard Years CD (2000)
Plays His Greatest Hits songs
$15.05 Of the singers who brought folk into the modern era around World War II, Cisco Houston seems to have less name recognition than either Woody Guthrie or Leadbelly. Not a songwriter himself, Houston did a great deal to promote the songs and legacy of Guthrie during the mid- to late-'50s, and a number of songs on this recording come from Cisco Houston Sings the Songs of Woody Guthrie. Houston also brings his smooth baritone to bear on a number of traditional songs, many of ...

| | Rebekka Fisher Inner Spaces CD (2001)
Plays His Greatest Hits songs
$9.59 "Fisher lays down a cool blend of funky riffs, jazz-infused vocals and lyrics that reflect both an emotional vulnerability and a tough spirit that's unlikely to be broken. Overall, a winning, not to mention infectious, combination. With the help of Matt Fink (a.k.a. Dr. Fink of Prince's Revolution) fisher's disc (Observare) stands out on the local music scene." - Pulse Magazine "Rebekka Fisher's delightful and diverse vocal abilities, backed by a tight and talented band, add heat to the second release from this St Paul, MN pop/funk/dance outfit. While the come-in cut Shades of Green, is a catchy and enjoyable listen, Down by the River, is a shining audio moment for both the band, as well as this skillful singer. Throughout this CD, each song has an individual flavor, yet the overall feel remains consistent. Song after song, the Rebekka Fisher Band offers a wealth of talent and style. Observare is top-notch!" - ORB Confidential, the Musician's Trade JournalRebekka Fisher started writing music at age 9 and was always considered quiet until she performed on stage, that's where she found her language to communicate. Born in Minnesota to a cartoonist family, Rebekka's lyrics include both a reflective and sarcastic side to the groove-jazz music. Her influences include Carol King, Parliament Funkadelic, Gladys Knight, Beck and Bjork. After receiving a degree in music composition, Fisher went out to start her own production company, Rockomotion Productions. Fisher records, promotes and distributes 4 CD's locally, and books her band in the Central Minnesota area. She has been nominated for keyboardist of the Year by the Minnesota Music Academy and has airplay on a variety of Twin Cities radio stations including Cities 97, KQRS, Zone 105, Radio K, KFAI, KUMD (Duluth) and Net Radio. The Rebekka Fisher Band has warmed up Johnny Lang, Missing Persons and AJ Croche and has also performed at such music venues as The Fine Line, Cedarfest, Taste of Minnesota, Cabooze, Famous Dave's, and The Quest.Fisher runs her own mailing list of just under 1,000, which is mailed out quarterly, and has an updated web page including live recordings from the shows and a music video, currently receiving around 600 hits per month. Her songs are also on MP3 receiving around 74 hits per month. Her song ...

Plays His Greatest Hits music CDs
$11.49 This CD all started as part of a music lesson: I was teaching one of my friend's kids (age 5) and I asked him what he wanted to do for his lesson, and he told me "Let's write a song!" I asked him what he wanted to write a song about, and he said "Let's write a song about my younger brother." I asked him, "What does your little brother like to do?" "Eat honey from a jar with a spoon," he said, and Honey Boy Star was born! We then wrote a song about his dog Libby, and I had so much fun working with these boys and their dog, it was the most joyful project out of all the albums and CDs that I have recorded and worked on. The last two songs: The Night the Tree Fell and It's Beddy Time were ...
