Henry Fielding's Tom Jones Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Brilliant! i first saw the "Tom Jones" series at the age or 6, and while finding it very funny, i didn’t really grasp all the humor; 10 years on, iv re-visited this hilarious series and i now feel that i can truly appreciate this brilliant re-telling of Henry Fielding's classic novel. max beesley gives a stunning performance of the young mr jones; creating a charming, hilarious, loveable character, who fortune looks unkindly upon. For me, brian blessed is the other star-member of the cast with his humorous portrayal of the drunk, blundering squire western (the father of tom’s sophie). This is a truly brilliant series and although I myself am only 16, my father (who is 60) finds it just as hilarious as I do. I can defiantly recommend this jocular series, and can say with confidence that it will have you laughing out loud in no time. Submitted by miri (england) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
