| an average video game WWE Wrestlemania X8 cheats this game is ok but a huge disappointment this game resembles smackdown for so than no mercy the grapplig system is the most important part of the game plays like the smackdown series more so than the wrestling games nintendo fans are used to playing so in closing if your a smackdown fan you'll want to check this out if your a no marcy your better of waiting for wrestlemania xix to come out. | not bad WWE Wrestlemania X8 review I grew up playing no mercy and wrestlemania 2000 for the n64 but this one was nothing like it. It plays I guess like what people say Smackdown. It is made by Yukes who are the creators of smackdown so I guess that anwsers my question. Still, I actually enjoyed it. The replay value is terrible though. The only fun thing about this game is making custom characters and have them whoop the top tier wrestlers with them. This game lacks backstage fights and a true season mode. The other dissapointing issue in this game is the triple threat matches. Play with 1p against two computers, the cpu will make it a handicap match against you 90% of the time. If I asked for a handicap match then I would had selected in the first place. Sad to say this problem was still never really fixed in the much improved WM 19. Still both games are great but WM19 is the best wrestling game for the cube for the time being until WMXX. By a reviewer (Honolulu, Hi, Usa) |
| it's alright WWE Wrestlemania X8 GQ it's pretty fun but the grappling moves are noy so good because you only have 5 moves to choose from. but i like the ladder and tlc matches because it's easy to grab the belt but in smack down vs. raw is better. By dyson robyn530 (missouri) |
| Tight THE BEST WRESTLING GAME FOR NINTENDO SO FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1. By a reviewer (Bakersfield,CA,USA) |
| Pretty Descent This game is okay but there is no story mode and whats the point in getting the belts under battle for the belts mode if you cant wear the belts to the ring. I give 3 stars its a on and off situation. By ric (groves, texas (usa)) |
