Travelling Infinity album
$19.98 It's a commonly held opinion among fans and band alike that Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' lone live album, 1986's Pack Up the Plantation, didn't quite capture the group at its peak, so there has been a long-standing need for another live set, which 2009's Live Anthology finally provides. Like its closest cousin, Bruce Springsteen's Live 1975-1985, Live Anthology almost overcompensates for the long wait by offering almost too much music, cherrypicking highlights from 1978 to 2007. In its simplest incarnation, Live Anthology is a super-affordable, four-disc ...
| | John Mayer Battle Studies CD (2009)
Travelling Infinity CD music
$11.18 It's no secret that John Mayer is a 21st Century Fox, wining and dining women all through tabloid headlines, so it's about time he delivered an album that traded upon his loverman persona -- and Battle Studies is that record in spades. Retaining more than a modicum of the slick, soul-blues undertones of Continuum, Mayer fashions a modern groove album, a record that maintains a smooth seductive vibe so thoroughly it spills into a one-man band cover of "Crossroads." Mayer remains somewhat of a disciple of Slowhand, but he shows an unusual interest in the big AOR stylings of Journeyman, along with Stevie Ray Vaughan's In Step, creating a coolly clean blend of synths and Strats, one that's as much about texture as it is about song.something perfectly appropriate for a make-out album like this. Sometimes, Mayer dips too heavily ...

| | Jon Robert Quinn Road To Hammerlane CD (2006)
Travelling Infinity album
$12.65 "The Road to Hammerlane" was a long way coming. Never before had Jon Robert Quinn worked so hard to put together a well rounded and compelling CD. "The Road to Hammerlane" is an all vocal rock/acoustic CD produced, written and performed by Jon Robert Quinn. "Don't Want You Back" brings the sound of Nickelback, meanwhile "Girlfriend" brings a Punk influence into the picture. Then the second half of the CD is all acoustic guitar and vocals. This CD is something nobody would ever expect from Jon Robert Quinn and by writing a CD to this extreme simply proves one thing... JRQ isn't afraid of change.------------------------Here's a breakdown of each song from the mind of Jon Robert Quinn.Well before I get into each song, I'll start off by saying, this CD was supposed to be a full band project. I had hired the musicians for the band, hired a recording studio to reherse in and put a ton of money into making the project work. All of my old tour gear was getting a little old from the Solo-Fisticated, One Long Road, and JeRQ THIS Tour. I went out and purchased all new gear for this project. New guitars, amps, effects, sound gear. We were all together to get the project started. The project was to be called Hammerlane. We went in the studio and started writing and from the get-go, schedules started clashing. The drummer wouldn't have time this day, the bass player wouldn't have time that day, so I hired another drummer. Everything was coming together. Then the bass player dropped out, so we got another bass player. He wanted to play metal and I wanted to write songs, so he dropped out. Running businesses like I do, I didn't have time to keep seeking deadbeat musicians to eventually end up with a good team. Months of looking for the right guys lead to the project slowly falling apart. I eventually fired everybody and went into my home studio and wrote the music using tracks. Here's a breakdown of each song. I'M SORRY - I have always wanted a love song that was more of a GO GET HER BACK love song. A song like, you messed up, now go tell you that you love her. I sat down one night with the acoustic guitar and a piece of paper and started writing. I had never written a song like this before so I didn't know where to go with it. I just started writing about my surroundings. The songs opens with "I am Here, Nothing to do. I just sit here, and think about you". You being the song. It was getting late, so I looked at the clock. Thats where the line "its almost 11" comes in. I was kind of waiting for the news to come on, so the line "The TV is on" follows. The rest of the song came naturally. Take a listen and enjoy. It tells the story a guy sitting in his living room and his girl just left, so he pleads he's sorry. HOLLYWOOD - Another song that every musician needs is a song about Hollywood. Who doesn't love Hollywood? I know I do. So I wrote a song about Hollywood. I talk about all the people we meet everyday and the ones we sometimes want to meet, but shouldn't. Take a listen, its a fun song. Even before the song was released on CD, fans would yell out "Play Hollywood" at shows. DON'T WANT YOU BACK - Have you ever had a boyfriend or girlfriend that you just were so sick of that you wanted to tell them to leave and never come back? This song is dedicated to everybody who has that ex that they just cannot stand. No, we Don't Want You Back.LIGHTER DAYS - I have very very strong feelings about domestic violence. I think under no circumstances that a man should hit a woman. I wrote this song about the emotions and events that take place in domestic violence. There is a point that larger penalties should be in place for guilty. The story talks about a woman thats alone and abused. GIRLFRIEND - Who doesn't like ...
