Most Peaceful Classical Album
$17.75 LAUREL ZUCKER IS AWARDED THE 2006 BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR FOR BEST CLASSICAL INSTRUMENTAL SOLO ALBUM FROM THE JUST PLAIN FOLKS AWARDS 2006!!A fantastic and wonderful CD! Have you ever wondered what to get your true love for Valentines Day?? This romantic CD will make your lover swoon for the best Valentines Day ever.\"...a very wisely assembled recital of music...Zucker has a full, rich sound coupled with an impressive technique. Zucker\'s virtuosity is best demonstrated in Borne\'s difficult Fantasy on Themes from Carmen. There is also a virtuosity which is found inthe playing of a melody with a singing legato and beautiful phrasing.....a thoroughly enjoyable recording...\"FANFARE MAGAZINE\"...the best music-making with Shapiro happens in the Romances disc in the Schumann and Nielsen. The Romances disc has clever programming: the Faure and Gaubert are placed next to each other, and it becomes instantly obvious that Gaubert stole the opening notes of his Romance from Faure\'s Romance Sans Paroles No. 3.\"AMERICAN RECORD GUIDE 1995Gramophone issue December 2007 states \"Zucker shapes everything with lovely gradations of timbre and nuance, and her phrasing keeps the ear mesmerised.\" Laurel Zucker is described by Gramophone Magazine 2003 \"as polished and gratifying as Rampal and Galway. Zucker\'s interpretations are splendid all round. Her tone is airy and sweet, her virtuosity graceful.\" In 2004 Gramophone \"strongly recommended\" The Complete Telemann Fantasies for Flute and The Complete J.S. Bach Flute Sonatas on Cantilena Records describing her performances as \"intelligent, naturally phrased and highly musical with a rich sound beyond reproach.\" In the August 2003 book, Inspirational Stories from the World\'s Best Flute Players, Laurel Zucker is featured along with James Galway, Herbie Mann, Ian Andersen, and Julius Baker. Fanfare Magazine refers to Ms. Zucker \"as a forceful advocate for 20th century music,\" and when she was awarded the Aaron Copland Fund for Music from the American Music Center to record the 1998 Take a Walk on the Wilder Side-CD, Fanfare Magazine stated \"this disc fills an important niche in American Music as well as flute literature.\" With 45 CD releases available on Cantilena Records, Ms. Zucker can be heard regularly on worldwide classical radio stations. She has performed many times in Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Mondavi Center, etc. As a concerto soloist she has been featured with the American Symphony Orch., Erkel Chamber Orch. of Budapest, The Orch. of NY ...

Most Peaceful Classical Album
$15.09 Mary Oberle Hubley Nicholas-Maria Publishers1131 Guilford StreetHuntington, Indiana 46650maryoberle@sbcglobal.netwww.nicholasmaria.com Mary Oberle Hubley is the homeschooling mother of seven children, including two children born in Korea. A musician and composer, she taught music in several Catholic schools on a volunteer basis for grades K-8 over a fifteen year period, also serving as Director of Music in their parish churches. In 1970 she wrote Gate of Heaven, the first hymn in her corpus of Catholic hymnody of the same name, presently consisting of forty subsequent hymns. In the early ‘seventies, some of her hymns were published by The Liturgical Press in its missalette, Celebrating the Eucharist and its hardbound Book of Sacred Song. Due to editorial disagreement, Mrs. Hubley disassociated herself from that publishing avenue, subsequently establishing Nicholas-Maria Publishers. Beginning in 1994 through 2004, Mrs. Hubley established and directed the Midwest Conference on Sacred Music in northeast Indiana, seeking to counteract the widespread confusion and misinformation regarding the Church’s stated requirements regarding Church music. Dedicated to the “Restoration of the Sacred in Catholic Church Music,” the Midwest Conference on Sacred Music sponsored speakers including Bishop Fabian W. Bruskewitz (Lincoln), Bishop Thomas J. Paprocki (Chicago); Msgr. Richard J. Schuler (St. Paul, MN), Msgr. Charles N. Meter (Chicago); Rev. Dr. Robert A. Skeris (Sheboygan, WI), Father Eduard Perrone (Detroit, ...
