By 2002, the American rock scene had seen so much generic alternative metal come down the pipes that cynicism immediately set in when any new bands attempted to join the fold. It is in this environment that Injected's Burn It Black add themselves to the endless supply of heavy-yet-sensitive rockers. But fear not, Burn It Black is actually a great album that unveils a talented group of songwriters awaiting their chance at the mainstream. Much like groups like Local H, Paw, and On before them, the emphasis is on melody and songcraft first, heaviness second. The lyrics don't sink into Gavin Rossdale shallowness, sounding more like Jeff Buckley or Josh Clayton-Felt fronting a metal band. And the music isn't heavy in a repetitive, pounding way; instead, Injected takes the time to build dynamics and melody with their instruments. There is only a small difference between bands who do this well and bands who glut the marketplace, and Injected is one band who rejects the tactics of the latter. There are a few moments that are below the band's talents, including the boring rocker "Sherman," but all is forgiven when the untitled, nine-minute album-closer kicks in. Featuring killer melodies during the first half which only turn into a raging thrasher by the end, the track (which is essentially two songs) is a forceful display of their talents. Marking an excellent major-label debut for the band, this is one of the finer groups to arrive in 2002 and should appeal to fans of catchy-but-hard alternative rock. ~ Bradley Torreano Unlikely as it seems, Injected manages the tricky feat of establishing themselves as a vital young hard-rock band in 2002 without falling into the camps of rap-metal, Blink-182 pop-punk, or any of the other faddish subgenres contemporaneous with burn it black. Like any heavy rockers worth their Marshalls, they have roots in the likes of Led Zep and early Metallica. Beyond that, the closest parallel might be the spare, artful way that Helmet utilized heavy riffs and rhythms a decade earlier. BURN IT BLACK is sledgehammer hard rock pared down to the bare essentials; no posing, pretensions, or excessive angst. Plenty of attitude comes through on these unrelenting tunes full of grinding guitars and pounding drums, but like the songs, the attitude consistently rings true. Nasty, angry, and confident, but nobody's fools; that's Injected on BURN IT BLACK. Unlikely as it seems, Injected manages the tricky feat of establishing themselves as a vitAlternative Press (4/02, p.77) - 7 out of 10 - "...Their full-length debut somehow establishes not only the band's own unique personality, but also a well-rounded set of inspired rock songs..." Best Album This Year Burn it Back is a great album, it’s way better then there first cd Hammered and Enamored. Burn it Back has songs for just sitting back and bobbing your head and songs that are great for the pits.
The songs just want to make u get up and jump around, their full of life and emotion. As usual the songs are greatly put together and mostly have fast past beats and the lyrics are very meaning full. This cd is great no matter if you just want to kick back and relax or u want to get up and move to the music. I highly recommend it, its in stores now so what are you waiting for? Go buy it!

a refreshing look at music via Injected If you are thinking about buying this cd, or just happened to hear the name and wanna know whats up with this band-heres whats up: Injected has made the best album this year and its just a matter of time before everyone in the country falls in love with this band as much as I have. The singers voice is a great alternative/rock voice, the lyrics arent crappy-and anyone can relate to them, and the music is really up to par, if not leading the race. their style is really between alternative (oleander) and any of the other rock stuff out today (puddle of mud). go get this cd-even if you have to take money from someone, youll be glad you did. Burn It Black
$10.79 :: This is my second album - INSPIRATION. In this album has a various styles. I separate them in to 3 parts. First, it's rock and electronic. This part quite hard and strong but I love this part 'cuz every time I'd listening to, I feel powerful!!! Another great part in this album is the pop zone and have a little bit electronic. This part is easy to listening. I love the simple melody in this part. It just made perfect sense!..... Last, I just bring the Asia melody integrate with my songs. Something in the melody seeped through and fuelled the fire that made me wanna make the songs. Form the moment I made this it felt right! Well, I think this album make me feels like life has come full circle!____:: Album Detail ***In this album, the piano is the main that I choose for telling the story of sound of music in many emotions. For examples, part 2 stands for soft, gentle, smooth, fun, and sad feeling more than part 1 which is the Rock style that has hard beat and incite but also feel Pop style more than part 3 that is New age and World music …“ All songs are instrumental. There are also various feeling for you to choose. I think there are many interesting song for you to try them!”Part 1 ___" Sense " - Start with mysterious for you to seek like the secret story. With the Synthesizer and some experiments finally get the strange effect which get along well with the feeling of this song." Change ...

Burn It Black
$5.69 The beginnings of No Fair Hearing originated when John Schwinn met Jon Feldheger while attending Inglemoor High School in Bothell, Washington, a suburb to the north of Seattle. The two quickly bonded over a mutual interest in rock music. Both had supportive parents who encouraged their sons’ musical interests. When they met, Feldheger already had a beat up, red sparkle, Premier Drum kit, purchased from a friend of his brother a few months earlier. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Schwinn surprised his son with a brand new Fender Stratocaster guitar. Soon the two seventeen year-olds were jamming regularly, trying to emulate their guitar Gods: Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Cream and John Schwinn’s personal favorite; the legendary, but ill-fated Derrick and the Dominoes.Several years later, while working at Dynacare Laboratories in Seattle, Feldheger met bassist Eric Sorenson. It was there Feldheger asked him if he might want to join Schwinn and himself for a jam session. At the time Eric was playing in two bands; a jazz band and a heavy metal outfit, yet the easy-going bassist found time in his busy schedule to jam with the ...

Burn It Black
$12.75 Grammy Award winning producer Will Ackerman says of Unveiled, "the music is filled with both soaring inspiration and a remarkable sense of peace." Guest artists include Will Ackerman (guitar), Philip Aaberg (keyboards), Eugene Friesen (cello), Tracy Silverman (violin), Jeff Oster (flugelhorn), Jill Haley (English horn), and Noah Wilding (vocals).Stanton Lanier's passion is to help listeners slow down and experience some peace and rest in a hurried world. His improbable story (chemistry degree to pianist/composer with over 27,000 CDs distributed) began with piano lessons at age six. In 2000 he began creating scripture inspired piano melodies to "bring peace to the soul" of every listener who encounters them. This has resulted in five original albums -- Walk in the Light (2001), Still Waters (2002), Draw Near (2004), The Voice (2005) and Unveiled (2007). There is also a piano book for each of the ...
