$16.49 2-CD set was recorded during 2 evenings at L.A.'s hippest new jazz club; the trio takes advantage of the hard swing of bassist Carpenter, the folk-Americana sensibilities of pianist Pasqua & drummer Erskine's embrace of all things rhythmic
Personnel: Peter Erskine (drums); Alan Pasqua (piano); David Carpenter (bass). Recorded live at Rocco, Bel Air, California on October 21 & 22, 1999. Audio Mixer: Rich Breen . Recording information: Rocco, Bel Air, CA (10/21/1999-10/22/1999). Photographer: Karen Miller. Since 1992, Peter Erskine has been putting out exquisite piano trio music on the ECM label, in the company of pianist John Taylor and bassist Palle Daniellson. Live at Rocco is the double-disc debut of a new, equally exciting trio completed by pianist Alan Pasqua and bassist David Carpenter, both of whom, incidentally, have done stellar work with Allan Holdsworth. Erksine, Pasqua, and Carpenter have all had the fusion bug at one time or another, but the vibe here is acoustic, generally mellow, and gloriously melodic. Pasqua, who wrote seven of the 15 tunes, has a way with hooks -- "To Love Again" ...

$12.89 Featuring Alan Pasqua on piano, Dave Carpenter on bass and Peter Erskine on drums. Some of these tunes are old favorites of the band, while a couple of them are new acquaintances. Track Listing of songs: The Way You Look Tonight, Dear Old Stockholm, Deep In A Dre
Personnel: Alan Pasqua (piano); Alan Pasqua; Dave Carpenter (bass guitar); Peter Erskine (drums). Recording information: The Neurosciences Institute, La Jolla, CA (01/18/2007/01/19/2007). Photographer: Mutsy Erskine. Keyboardist Alan Pasqua is a musicians' musician, having played with scores of top names in both jazz and rock for over three decades. With STANDARDS, he gets back to basics, delivering a straight-ahead set of performances that resonate with a restraint and tastefulness only a player of Pasqua's vast experience could offer. With able assistance from the great Peter Erskine on drums and bassist Dave Carpenter, the New Jersey native works his way through chestnuts like "The Way You Look Tonight" and "I Hear a Rhapsody" with a gentle touch and sense of comfortable purpose that reveal the tunes' simple inner beauty. Alan Pasqua rises to the challenge of finding new ways to explore ten ...

$8.55 Finally, a reason to start believing in rock radio again. Refreshing, passionate, edgy. This 5-piece blends the pop sensibilities of Crowded House and the Cars, the American rock feel of Tom Petty and the Wallflowers, and the honest songwriting we've come to expect from the likes of Wilco and Pete Yorn. Billed as Fairlight's first "live" demo and fully backed up by the band's heartfelt, energetic shows, this 7-song CD caught fire within days of its small-budget release in late 2005, selling out of its first printing in less than 6 weeks. In addition to snagging a solid following in its hometown of Austin, Texas, ...
