"2 LP's On 1 CD" B/W "Richard Rodgers Bandbook"
2 LPs on 1 CD: LERNER & LOWE BANDBOOK (1961)/RODGERS & HART BANDBOOK (1962). Originally released on Columbia. This Collectables reissue combines two similar Les Brown dates originally released on Columbia Records in the early '60s, Lerner and Loewe Bandbook and Richard Rodgers Bandbook. The big band leader provides 24 elegant renditions of classic American popular music, including "I Could Have Danced All Night," "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face," "I Didn't Know What Time It Was," "My Funny Valentine," and "Lady Is a Tramp." Although not essential, this is a respectable two-fer that traditional pop fans should be aware of. ~ Al Campbell Lerner & Loewe Bandbook/Richard Rogers Bandbook Music Les Brown Lerner & Loewe Bandbook/Richard Rogers Bandbook Songs | 1. | I Could Have Danced All Night |

Lerner & Loewe Bandbook/Richard Rogers Bandbook
$24.79 Gravel-voiced Alexis Korner is arguably the most important figure in the history of British blues - the inspiration for several generations of star musicians, from The Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin & beyond. This first-ever full-career retrospective spans everything from mid-50s skiffle to his final blues outings, via groundbreaking 60s R&B & his pop hits with CCs in the 70s. Two CD set. Castle. 2005.
While MUSICALLY RICH...AND FAMOUS documents the second half of British blues godfather Alexis Korner's career, KORNERSTONED adopts a more comprehensive approach, following the pioneering singer/guitarist from the very beginning of his musical life, all the ...

| | A Cid Symphony Cid Symphony CDs (1967)
Lerner & Loewe Bandbook/Richard Rogers Bandbook
$15.19 2-CD set is an ultra-rare 1967 album that originally was released as a triple-LP; the group contains the leaders of the Berkeley Free Speech Movement - it traces their performance at the Monterey Pop Festival & the Golden Gate Human Be-ins, to their Fant
Personnel includes: Ernie Fishbach, Charles Ewing, Tom Harris, John Goeckermann, David Goines. Contains 22 tracks. Personnel: Charles Ewing (vocals, guitar, flamenco guitar); The Noisemakers (guitar, dulcimer, bells); Ernie Fischbach (percussion); Tom Harris (bells). Any CD that opens with over a minute of country harmonica-backed yodeling followed by an entire 35-second track of silence is bound to be peculiar, even if it was created in a time that hosted more than its fair share of bizarre music. A Cid Symphony certainly wasn't the pop group next door. In fact, there is nothing remotely pop about the group, from their psychedelically derived moniker to the nameless "songs" and original 3-LP, colored-vinyl packaging, and the completely counter-pop, noodling droning of their music -- droning sometimes indescribably beautifully, but occasionally in the pejorative sense of that word. The band is unquestionably of their time, yet their music is unique from any other during the '60s. The most obvious way in which their sound is grounded in the heady, spiritually yearning malaise of the '60s is its complete immersion in Hindustani ...

| | Alex Kash Record Plant Masters CD (2007)
Lerner & Loewe Bandbook/Richard Rogers Bandbook
$17.09 This music was recorded in another time, but it remains timeless. The Record Plant Recording Studio in Sausalito California is one of the premier professional recording studios in the world. The tracks on this CD were recorded there over a 5 year period, with the help of some very talented musicians and engineers. The songs range in style from hard rock all the way to soul and beyond. There are a few landmark recordings using early guitar synthesizer from a company called Zeta out of Berkeley. Guest artists on this CD include Lenny Pickett (from Tower Of Power and Saturday Night Live) on Tenor Sax, Pat Thrall (from Meat Loaf, The Go Project and Pat Travers) on Guitar and Bass, Preston Thrall (from the Greg Allman Band and The East Bay All Stars) on Drums, Corrado Rustici (from Narada Michael Walden and Zucchero) on Guitar, Nate Ginsberg (from Graham Central Station, Todd Rundgren, Steve Miller, Freddie Fender, Norton Buffalo, Del Shannon and Mary Wells)on Piano, and Cory Lerios (from Pablo Cruise) on Hammond B-3 organ. There are a lot of moods and dynamics on this album. It is easy and fun to listen to. I know, I've been listening for 30 years, and I'm still not tired of it. I started recording at the Record Plant while I was a member of a band called ‘Fever’. A recording engineer named Chris Morris worked at several studios in Los Angeles, and liked the band, so we did some recording down there, and when Chris moved to Sausalito, we continued to work with him. Through Chris, we met Chief engineer Tom Flye, who developed an interest and worked with us as well. ‘Like No Tomorrow’, ‘Searchin’ and ...
