Maiden's Seventh Musical Wonder This is Maiden's seventh great album. I can't think of another band or musician that has made seven top to bottom fantastic albums in a row (and I'm a Bowie and Beatle fan). By rathbun.f (Illinois)
Seventh Son one of the best. Probably the best disc from Maiden if you take away Beast, Piece and Powerslave. Every cut is tight and the title track is epic. By mikebehr (Denver, CO, USA)
Seven Deadly Sins OK this is my favorite album from the Golden erra. It is also the last one containing Adrian smith:( oh well at least he came back, ANYWAYS with there being keyboards in some of the tracks i think that added alot of enthusiasm in the bands live performances and the best part about this album is that the very beginning and the very end are exactly alike, buy the cd to know what im talking about, this is probably the most important album to Iron maiden too because it has 4 singles, thats alot for one album especially of that time where the new wave of british heavy metal was just starting to sink in, they are Infinite Dreams, Can I Play With Madness, The Evil That Men Do and The Clairvoyant, my favorite of the 4 being Can I Play With Madness because it has everything, One more thing is that theres an undiscovered song on this album that isnt very popular but its the only one co-written by Dave Murray and its The Prophecy, its a good song and if you never heard of it, i suggest you have a listen. By Evan Simpson (Winnipeg, MB, CAN)
The finest From the very beginning, Iron Maiden was the most progressive and creative of the Power Metal generation. On this album, they took that progressiveness and inventiveness to it's ultimate limit. By Kevin (Alberta, Canada)
Smooth in a creepy sort of way... Probably my favourite Iron Maiden record, it has a very unique sound. The songs are very elborately written, with long solo streches and blistering chorus's. By noverion (London, UK)

Powerslave CD (1984)
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son songs Iron Maiden issued its fifth release, POWERSLAVE, in 1984. It was a time in which the band had become a worldwide arena-headlining sensation. The album was also the first to not have been marked by a lineup change, helping Maiden produce another metal classic.
While most other metal bands of the era were still singing about partying, Maiden continued to tackle some serious, thought-provoking subject matter. The band addresses the threat of nuclear war on "2 Minutes to Midnight," World War II-era fighter pilots in the album-opening "Aces High," and the demise of an Egyptian king in the title track. But the true highlight is the long and winding 13-and-a-half-minute epic "Rime of the Ancient Mariner," a track that does a great job of recreating the haunting imagery of the Samuel Taylor Coleridge tale. Once POWERSLAVE was released, Maiden undertook one of the longest rock tours in history, playing from August 1984 through July 1985.

Piece of Mind CD (1983)
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son CD music PIECE OF MIND is the release cemented Iron Maiden firmly in the 1980s, making it one of the decade's most successful and enduring metal bands. This album includes such standards as the soaring "Flight of Icarus" and the barnstorming war tale "The Trooper." While the band had dabbled with epics on previous albums, PIECE OF MIND was the first to feature several complex tunes, like the album-opening "Where Eagles Dare," the contemplative "Revelations," and the album-closing "To Tame a Land," the last of which was inspired by the sci-fi novel series DUNE, by Frank Herbert. Personnel changes on this album include ex-Trust/Pat Travers drummer Nicko McBrain who took over for Clive Burr, but that shakeup did not hamper the success of PIECE OF MIND which, in keeping with Maiden's streak of hit releases, is another classic album.
Iron Maiden: Bruce Dickinson (vocals); Dave Murray , Adrian Smith (guitar); Steve Harris (bass guitar); Nicko McBrain (drums).

Killers CD (1981)
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son buy CD music KILLERS is based on more straight-ahead heavy metal, departing from Iron Maiden's 1980 self-titled debut, which had more of a punk edge (a facet often cited as an important stepping stone for "thrash metal" years later). Nonetheless the first album was a huge surprise hit in the band's native England, debuting within the Top Five upon release. The group's second release one year later, KILLERS sets its sights on making inroads in America, touring stateside for the very first time. The album was also the first for guitarist Adrian Smith, who replaced Dennis Stratton.
The best-known track remains the renegade rocker "Wrathchild," but other lesser known compositions prove just as strong, such as the gruesome "Murders in the Rue Morgue;" the singles "Purgatory" and "Twilight Zone;" plus the fan favorites "Innocent Exile," "Genghis Khan," "Prodigal Son," and the title track. KILLERS cemented Maiden's standing as one of heavy metal's most promising up-and-coming bands.
Digitally remastered by Simon Heyworth (Chop 'Em Out).
Recorded at Battery Studios, London, England.
Iron Maiden: Paul DiAnno (vocals); Dave Murray, Adrian Smith (guitar); Steve Harris (bass); Clive Burr (drums).
Engineers: Martin "Headmaster" Birch, Nigel Hewitt.

Somewhere in Time CD (1986)
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son songs Principally recorded at Compass Point Studios, Nassau, The Bahamas and Wisseloord Studios, Hilversum, The Netherlands.
Iron Maiden's 1986 SOMEWHERE IN TIME contains more than a few highlights, such as the ferocious album opener, "Caught Somewhere in Time," as well as softer singles "Wasted Years" and "Stranger in a Strange Land." And as with the band's preceding studio release, POWERSLAVE, another masterful composition closes the album, in this case the sprawling "Alexander the Great." Departing from the familiar sounds of stellar earlier releases like THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST and PIECE OF MIND, this album explores new musical territory with the addition of synthesizers, while maintaining its trademarks--galloping bass, heavy guitar riffs, and operatic vocals. Though there were some doubts initially, the addition of synthesizers didn't alienate the band's headbanging following. In fact, the change, along with this album's commercial success, was a clear indication of the band's musical progress.
This Limited version features vinyl replica packaging.
Digitally remastered by Simon Heyworth (Chop 'Em Out).
Iron Maiden: Bruce Dickinson (vocals); Dave Murray, Adrian Smith (guitar, synthesizer); Steve Harris (synthesizer, bass); Nicko McBrain (drums).

Iron Maiden CD (1980) Top Seller
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album for sale Just as punk was mutating into new wave and the '70s were coming to a close, Iron Maiden came onto the British music scene as part of a movement known as the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. Named for a medieval torture instrument, Iron Maiden was founded by bass player Steve Harris and released their self-titled debut in 1980. Roughly produced by Will Malone, the songs were influenced by the group's fascination with horror films ("Phantom Of The Opera") and the macabre ("Transylvania," "Prowler"). Driven by Harris' driving bass and Paul Di'Anno's raspy vocals, songs such as the moody "Remember Tomorrow" and the more aggressive "Charlotte The Harlot" also featured the melodic interplay of guitarists Dave Murray and Dennis Stratton. "Running Free" was the album's anthem and landed Maiden a slot on Top Of The Pops, where in their refusal to lip-synch, they became the first band to play live on the show since The Who's 1972 appearance.
