'70's & '80's arena-rock superstars Supertramp tell their story from each member of the band's persepctive on this DVD, which traces the birth of this band through the top 2 decades in their history. Experience their big world tours with full performances of their top 40 hits, as well as a special bonus of 5 music videos. Special DVD features include live performances from the 1983 World Tour, full motion menu screens, random selection of a different background song each time you insert the disc and more. British rock band Supertramp enjoyed a sort of Renaissance when director Paul Thomas Anderson recovered their records from the "Classic Rock" section and put some in his hit film MAGNOLIA. Massively huge in the late 1970's, Supertramp excel at keyboard-centric, full sounding rock. THE STORY SO FAR is a video chronicle of the band's 1983 tour. Not only does it feature their big hit songs "Goodbye Stranger," "Breakfast In America," and "Crime Of The Century," it also documents the music phenomenon that was born in the 1970's -- that of the supergroup. Supertramp - The Story So Far Movie Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Good Stuff Good concert. It took a little too much time to get into it with interviews and opening remarks, but finally got settled down into some good stuff.
It is in stereo, which is ok, but 5.1 or dts is always much preferred. I still enjoyed the concert and would suggest it to others.

Exellent, absolutely, exellent There is no substitution for this one. It is a "must buy" for every Supertramp Fan. I've enjoyed every moment of it - a rare live performance from a group that reigned supreme in the 70's. A finely tuned composition of classic songs, such as "Dreamer", "Logical Song", "Breakfast in America" and "Crazy", a performance which closely resembles the original studio recordings. Pitty though the "Bonus Tracks" are not live as well. Bite into this one - it's worth every minute Submitted by marlever (Kei Mouth, South Africa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great Concert This DVD is the kind of concert video that most fans want. No interuptions once the music starts. The only complaint is that it wasn't long enough. The 4 extra videos were a nice addition to the concert. Submitted by a reviewer (Middleburg, FL , USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Available at last As a big fan of Supertramp, I have waited for this title to be in dvd. The content is amazing, recorded in the tour of '83, so in the line up was Roger Hodgson, mastermind in the best works in Supertramp. With classics like "breakfast in America"; "logical song";
"school"; "dreamer" is a must have for people who, like me, raised up listening such a great groups.
