With disc number four, the Swedish band strays from its Scandinavian black metal roots and, consciously or not, managed to tap into the nu-metal breed somewhat. Don't believe it? Compare the title track to anything that Static-X has ever released. The keyboards have moved from lush and atmospheric to punchy and pointed for the most part, and even the vocals of Bjorn Strid are less abrasive overall and alternate between heavy and serene. Old fans might have a difficult time adjusting to Natural Born Chaos, but it's an impressive disc in that it combines two seemingly disparate styles seamlessly into a unique listening experience. ~ Brian O'Neill

Unbelievable!!! This one is by far the best Soilwork album. Fantastic songs, guitar solos, progressive sound, very good vocals and amazing riffs. The production of Devin Townsend is simply superb. If you're a metalhead, you must have this. Submitted by tadas (Lithuania) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
YESS!!!! this CD is the CD of CD's in my book...i love Figure Number Five and Stabbing the Drama just about the same as this CD cuz they're all amazing...but this one is just a nick better that all...so yea this band is outstanding in every way, the vocalist Bjorn "Speed" Strid is my fav vocalist cuz of his crazy screams and excellent singing talent, the guitars and keyboards are so insane it almost makes me cry! and the drums tops it all off with a great beat to get into and bang your head! and it was produced by Strapping Young Lads frontman Devin Townsend! get this CD if you like the best music!!! Father of American Metal - Swedish Death Metal First of all, this CD displays a talent that no American band could ever perfect. Every song on this CD is great and unbelievable. This CD as well as Soilwork have stated that American bands should stop taking credit for the new wave of american metal. It started with Judas Priest and continues to influence bands in America. The Swedish death metal influence is part of the American metal community and people should get that through their fu**ing heads!!!!!!! The lead singer has a new band called Coldseed and they are awesome!! Submitted by TyBeauvais (Appleton, WI) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Natural Born Chaos album
$13.39 Soilwork is a unique brand of coalesced Swedish metal. Crafting melodies as dangerous as Dark Tranquillity and In Flames, godly solos as effortless as Arch Enemy and Armageddon, aggression as damn beautiful as At the Gates, and clean vocals as soaring as Opeth, Soilwork combines these elements together with the band's own rare compositional skills and clever use of keyboards. Adding layers of atmospheric texture, rather than racing along with the guitars, the keyboards appear as translucent nuances, ...

Natural Born Chaos CD music
$13.45 This an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
Sounding like a particularly rotten day during the apocalypse, Arch Enemy is a ferocious gang of Swedish death metalers bent on throttling their listeners, and they succeed most magnificently on Wages of Sin. The Scandinavians in general are known most for their allegiance to black metal: atmospheric, epic-sounding, satanic-leaning stuff which they invented. But Arch Enemy, who includes members and former members of Carcass, Armageddon, and Mercyful ...

Natural Born Chaos music CDs
$12.99 Could this actually be European death metal's bid for a pop culture coup? In Flames already has a reputation as one of the best, most melodic death metal bands to come to power in the Euro-metal regime that has swept through countries like Sweden and Norway since the early to mid-'90s. However, with Reroute to Remain, Strömblad and the gang have now unexpectedly announced that they are also undoubtedly the most experimental ...

| | Soilwork Figure Number Five CD (2003)
Natural Born Chaos album
$13.09 With Figure Number Five, Soilwork continues on the melodic, streamlined path forged on previous platter Natural Born Chaos (which marked a departure from the hectic, At the Gates-style death/thrash of the group's first three releases). Releasing Figure Number Five barely a year after its predecessor, the Swedes apparently struck while the iron was hot, riding the inspired wave of Chaos' songwriting into an even more hook-heavy realm. Immediately noticeable is the conciseness of the songs -- only one surpasses the four-minute mark, the band trimming any unnecessary ...

$8.95 Think of Dee Snider, and you immediately think of "We're Not Gonna Take It," "I Wanna Rock," and other fun, infectious pop-metal hits that Twisted Sister provided in the '80s. Much of Twisted Sister's '80s output wasn't pure heavy metal in the strict sense; pop-metal was basically a poppy approach to hard rock, and Twisted Sister usually inspired comparisons to Quiet Riot, Bon Jovi, Warrant, Poison, and Def Leppard rather than fantasy metal artists like Candlemass, Ronnie James Dio, King Diamond, and Queensrÿche. Snider, however, shows headbangers a different side of his artistry on this 2003 release, ...
