These are also the best and most popular songs on Little Town Flirt, which is filled out with competent but unremarkable covers of early '60s hits like "Go Away, Little Girl," "Runaround Sue," and "Hey Baby." Simply to correct an error I had made, the 'drop down' slot was set at 3 and I omitted to adjust it higher.
Have owned this album since shortly after its official release back in '63,
definitely one of Del's best and a real 5 star offering. To top it off, the remastering is nothing short of brilliant.

 amazing mastering of this classic album
this is Del Shannon's 2nd LP for Big Top Records in the US. It could almost be considered a greatest hits album, with such gems as Hats Off To Larry, Hey Little Girl, the classic Runaway & title track Little Town Flict. The real magic is; all the other tracks are not filler, but actual steller recordings. Shannon's version of Dion Dimucci's 'Runaround Sue, actually outshines the original recording. Just take a good listen to 'She thinks I still care' an original Bill Anderson country hit, Shannon once again seems to own the song. No doubt that Del Shannon remains one of the most underrated artists of the 60's & 70's.
