This collection of heartfelt, accordion-based Norteno love songs sums up the best of this Corpus Christi- band's music. From the elastic swing of the opening track, "Suena," through the tender "Te Sigo Amando" to the formal waltz time of "Muy A Tu Manera," Intocable demonstrate their versatility and musical smarts time and again. "El Poder De Tus Manos" is a catchy stop-time polka-style number, while the aching vocals of "Voy A Extranarte" will strike a chord in even the most flint-hearted listener, and the sultry "Nada Es Egual" is an exercise in seduction. For an unimpeachably well performed foray into the Technicolor world that is Norteno music, you can't go wrong here. With SUENOS, this Texas-based combo continues its inexorable rise upwards.
SUENOS was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album.
Intocable includes: Ricky Munoz.

Suenos album
$21.59 Susan Latimer BioFolk magazine Sing Out! says Susan Latimer is “original” and “impassioned,” while Front Cover calls her “irresistibly engaging and utterly enthralling.” However one describes Latimer, this Canadian songwriter is making a habit of drawing attention to her arresting folk-blues compositions and her inspiring performances. When it comes to songwriting, “her craft captures everything music misses today: depth of thought, truth, and endless imagery.” (Dan Welsh, Hands On Music Company)Latimer grew up in a musical family just outside of Toronto and first picked up a guitar as a teenager after an uncle showed her how to strum a few chords on a mandolin. She was soon performing music as diverse as classical, folk, jazz, ...
