Based on Stephen King's novella CYCLE OF THE WEREWOLF, SILVER BULLET concerns a small mountain community terrorized by a half-man/half-beast of folklore. After an encounter with the murderous werewolf, wheelchair-bound Marty Coslaw (Corey Haim) becomes saddled with the unfortunate knowledge of the beast's human alter ego. An Excellent Scare I have enjoyed this movie many times and recommend it. A good scare, without the gore in a lot of movies today. And it does not hurt that Cory was such a cute young kid! Submitted by wkdwanda_2003 (Eugene, OR) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great old fashioned horror flick ! Remember back in the seventies when you used to stay up late Saturday nights to catch the old time horror movies on late night local TV stations?
Well, rejoice! This Stephen King inspired werewolf flick is a wonderful modern version of an old favorite. Great cast and character development. Tense and entertaining. A must for any horror fans collection. Submitted by a reviewer (Pittsburgh, PA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Fun and Freaky Here's a flick that you pull out for a quick scare and a feel-good ending. I've loved this film for years. The werewolf tends to look more were-bear than wolf, but the story is pretty cool just the same. Great tale of two kids against a monster. Submitted by Alice (Boise, ID, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Silver Bullet review
$9.69 In a serene Vermont country house, six people share their dreams, their fears, and their desires, as secrets are revealed and trusts broken. The cast is led by Mia Farrow, who plays Lane, a woman who has never fully dealt with a long-ago shooting. Elaine Stritch plays Diane, Lane's mother, who never stops talking about her wild past spent with movie stars and gangsters; she is married to Lloyd (Jack Warden), a physicist with a gloomy view of the future of the universe. Sam Waterston plays Peter, a divorced writer wanna-be who loves Stephanie (Dianne Wiest), Lane's married best friend. Finally, Denholm Elliott plays Howard, the older and wiser professor who is coming to terms with his feelings for Lane. Writer-director Woody Allen's SEPTEMBER is a mature, grim, serious film, close in theme and pacing to INTERIORS, very different from such spirited romantic comedies as ANNIE HALL and HANNAH AND HER SISTERS.
