"Where The Party At" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.
The antidote to too many boy bands would appear to be--a MAN band, and, on this showing, Jagged Edge would appear to fit the bill. Man-sized subjects span the usual party-hearty topics, but the Edge aren't shy about nailing their colors to the mast when it comes to faithfulness and living up to their responsibilities. "Respect" is a case in point--"Got no respect for them dudes that hit they women..." they sing in perfect harmony, flying in the face of rap convention to a spare backing, while on the following "Head of Household" (don't you just love bands that get their song titles from tax forms?) they're extolling the virtues of the nuclear family ("from the house to the car to the bank accounts, I do all of that..."). Just how all this squares with the lyrics to "Where the Party At?", a more conventional R&B outing featuring Nelly, and the Ludacris-featured hot lovin' of "Cut Something" isn't immediately obvious, but JAGGED LITTLE THRILL certainly can't be accused of not trying to please all the people all the time.

Second Best Album I know some reviewers have this as their best album but in truth its not better than 'je heartbreak'. still all the love ballads surprised me and 'remedy'is my favorite song. Submitted by mpryor1960 ("Ocala, FL, USA") Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
It is a thrill!!!!!!!!!! This cd is too raw and I love all the slow songs!!! Submitted by Toya (Ohio) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Fantastic This cd is absolutely great...one of my all time favorites, that's for sure. Every track is terrific w/the exception of #7 which is merely good, but not as great as the rest. A really touching cd, "Girl It's Over" is a wonderful song, as is "Respect", "Where the Party At?", forget about naming tracks, the whole cd is off the board!! One of the best, most balanced R&B cds...ever!! Submitted by sign_o_the_times_00 (Luckson, MI) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

The 4-part harmony of Bad Boy's vocal group 112 can catch any listener's ear, and when they're matched with some of R&B's hottest producers, the quartet can do no wrong. On their third album PART III, 112's songs serve two timeless purposes: to highlight ...

Jagged Little Thrill songs
$13.95 Alison Krauss & The Cox Family: Alison Krauss (vocals, fiddle, viola), Suzanne Cox, Evelyn Cox, Lynn Cox, Willard Cox, Sidney Cox (vocals).
I KNOW WHO HOLDS TOMORROW won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Southerm Gospel, Country Gospel Or Bluegrass Gospel Album.
It's a fact. Alison Krauss has the sweetest voice this side of heaven. Krauss' rapturous lead vocals and angelic harmonies, combined with the simplicity of the blugrass/gospel Cox family, are breathtakingly plain and sweet. With voices melding as one, Alison becomes an easy fit--almost familial--with the Cox clan. Suzanne Cox's warbly, fluid soprano is another cornerstone of this collection of traditional and contemporary hymns, and Willard Cox adds the laconic vocals that are so important to the genre. As usual, Alison's backing band, Union Station, is tasteful and first-rate. Highlights include a rocking version of Paul Simon's "Loves Me Like A Rock" and a spirited, old-timey version of Loretta Lynn's "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven."
I KNOW WHO HOLDS TOMORROW transcends genre; displaying dashes of soul and jazz, it becomes an uplifting piece of art. Yet it is also an understated recording, acoustic yet powerful. It was a well-deserved winner of a 1995 Grammy Award and brought ...
