| | Gotta Travel On: The Very Best Of Billy Grammer CD Billy Grammer Discography of CDs
Billy Grammer is remembered for his big crossover hit, "Gotta Travel On," which reached the Top Five on the pop and country charts in 1959. He scored only two other hits on the Monument label: "The Kissin' Tree" and "Bonaparte's Retreat," neither of which made the country chart even though the latter is a tune by Pee Wee King. This 21-track anthology reissues Grammer's 1959 LP Travelin' On and adds the aforementioned pair of hits plus a half dozen commercially unsuccessful tracks recorded in the mid-'70s when Grammer returned to Monument after years of label-hopping. Gotta Travel On: The Very Best of Billy Grammer might have been wiser to stick with early recordings, but is a very thorough anthology considering Grammer's paucity of hits during this period. ~ Greg Adams Gotta Travel On: The Very Best Of Billy Grammer Music Gotta Travel On: The Very Best Of Billy Grammer Songs Gotta Travel On: The Very Best Of Billy Grammer Review

| | Complete Hits Of Vic Dana CD (2000)
Gotta Travel On: The Very Best Of Billy Grammer songs
$13.69 Vic Dana charted a long string of mostly moderate and minor hit singles in the '60s, but never achieved the name recognition of such likeminded contemporaries as Bobby Vinton or even Jack Jones. Dana's biggest hit and only Top Ten entry was one of three hit versions of "Red Roses for a Blue Lady" in 1965, and, in general, his hits were covers of songs that are strongly associated with other artists. Dana may not have forged a unique musical identity, but his recordings bridged the gap between teen idol pop and adult contemporary, making him the sort of sturdy and versatile MOR vocalist who enjoyed steady album sales but not spectacularly successful ...

$12.05 Crabby Appleton's Rotten to the Core -- -- the title of which, no doubt, comes from lyrics once sung by the villainous Crabby Appleton character on the Tom Terrific cartoon show: "My name is Crabby Appleton/I'm rotten to the core" -- was released in October 1971. The band's second album, and last as a group, captures them reaching out to find a sound of their own, veering off into boogie rock and heavier Zeppelin-esque romps, twice removed from the ...

Through them and other talented songwriters, she began perfecting her songwriting skills. Those skills held her a place in the Colgate Country Showdown where she was told that there was no doubt she could write and should pursue her dreams. This comment along with supporting friends fueled her fireand now, ...
