The Lost Boyz's energetic music takes hip-hop back to the days when guns and drugs, although present in urban communities, had not yet invaded hip-hop itself. Before the gangsta revolution, hip-hop more often meant a danceable track, a party theme and a positive message. With LEGAL DRUG MONEY, the Lost Boyz attempt to bring these elements back to the mainstream. They're well aware of what's going on in the real world around them, but "being real" isn't their mantra. When violence does intrude, as in "Renee," a love-in-the-ghetto story that ends in murder, it serves as a detail rather than as a theme. Ian Fisher is a touring singer/songwriter with his roots in Mid-Western America. From an early age he was interested in music, but it wasn't till he picked up a bass guitar and started singing at the age of 13 that his once mere interest was transformed into his life and passion. He soon switched to electric guitar and started a band with some grade school friends in his hometown of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. From very early on Ian started writing his own songs. Though the band would perform some of his songs, Ian began to take his work more seriously after it broke up when he was 17. In 2006, he began recording his first "professional" album, Invasions, and half of his first album with a band, Stained Glass. In the mean time he played dozens of shows around Missouri and wrote many new songs. As he grew older and became more interested in his studies of Political Science, the subject matter of most of his songs moved from love and emotions to political and social issues.
