| I Won't Complain Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Not I Can't or I'd Rather Not, It is I Won't Complain I was so glad to find this cd and the only song I wanted was I Won't Complain and when I got it I listened to it over and over and over as I sang with Rev. Paul Jones. I still use the phrase all of the time when somebody says to me I can't complain, I tell them whenever you see me you can not tell me you can't complain, you got to tell me I Won't Complain with a smile on your face and I will sing to them, "the bills are due,I don't know where the money is coming from but I say Thank You Lord,I won't complain. A great life cut short! "I Won't Complain".... speaks volumes for itself. I've heard this song on many occasions...memorized the words. And each time that I hear it my heart completely fills with joy. Rev. Paul Jones sings this song and all the others on this cd with such annointment. Rest in peace. Good CD Album Very good selection for the Album, but the Main Song "I Won't Complain" is cut-off at the end. Since it is the theme song for the album, it should have be recorded in its entirety! Submitted by john.foster (Minot, ND, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Hank Williams, Jr A.K.A. Wham Bam Sam CD (1996)
I Won't Complain music CDs
$5.85 A.K.A. WHAM BAM SAM is one of Hank Williams Jr.'s best albums, with a nice balance between his traditional rowdy good old boy hellraiser schtick, and some genuinely sensitive, at times even shockingly musical moments. Speaking of the former, the funniest thing here, hands down, is the opening "Don Juan D'Bubba." A take-off on the then-current Johnny Depp movie "Don Juan DeMarco," it's the saga of a redneck Lothario who "only serves the cheapest supermarket wine."
Other highlights include the genuinely touching cry-in-your-beer epic "Let's Keep the Heart in Country." The title song, a neo-Dixieland change of pace, is an ode to "the drummer king of New Orleans."
Recorded at Mid-Town, Sound Emporium Studios, and K.D. Studio, Nashville, Tennessee; K.D. Mobile Recording, Paris, Tennessee.
Personnel: Hank Williams, Jr. (background vocals); Michael Spriggs (acoustic guitar); Animal, John Jorgenson, John Willis, Brent Mason (electric guitar); ...

I Won't Complain songs
$10.49 A collection of B-sides, EPs, and rare tracks, this release proves just how consistent Grandaddy is. Their enjoyable, but highly eccentric style was just as well-performed on the early tracks as on the recent songs. Indeed, Grandaddy's noisy-yet-melodic approach has never sounded rawer than on the 1994 track "Kim You ...

| | Cliff Richard Rock'N'Roll Juvenile CD (1979) Remastered
I Won't Complain CD music
$10.49 ROCK 'N' ROLL JUVENILE is a later album by British pop star Cliff Richard.
This UK edition is digitally remastered and contains two bonus tracks.
Cliff Richard's biggest hit album since the mid-'70s came at a time when observers were just beginning to suspect the bubble was bursting. His last few 45s and albums had struggled to repeat the successes that had re-established him on the scene, and a handful of weaker numbers were again crawling back into his repertoire. A change of scenery, to the same Pathe Marconi studios that the Rolling Stones had then-recently been using, brought a change of direction -- gone were the straightforward love songs and ballads; in their stead, Richard began flirting with a distinctly new wave influenced sound, one that was confirmed by his interest in the newly emergent songwriter B.A. Robertson. Writing alongside Terry Britten, Robertson was responsible for Rock'n'Roll Juvenile's two biggest hits, "Hot Shot" and the still remarkable "Carrie" -- one of the most distinctive numbers Richard had recorded in more than a decade. Other numbers -- "Cities May Fall," "Sci Fi," "Walking in the Light" and the album's title track ...

| | Cotton Out Of This World CD (2007) (Import)
I Won't Complain album
$16.69 Many artists have recorded Jazz solos but Michael Cotton & Nikola Monfort have created a male female close harmony duo reminiscent of the 1940âsA collection of songs written by composers Harold Arlen and/or Johnny Mercer. Michael Cotton and Nikola Monfort, together with Musical Director Paul Higgs, have recorded 13 tracks, incorporating close harmonies and updated arrangements. âMany artists have recorded these well-loved songs but we wanted to take a new stance on them. Weâve always loved the music of yesteryear: Doris Day, Dean Martin, Judy Garland and Ella Fitzgerald to name a few and although many of these songs are regularly performed as solos, it occurred to us that some of them are wonderful duet material, so we created a male female duo with a sound reminiscent of the fortiesâ. âOut of this Worldâ is a project that Michael and Nikola have been contemplating working on for some time and not only includes songs by both Arlen and Mercer together but also their collaborations with other accomplished writers. The album contains favourites such as Get Happy, That Old Black Magic and Lets Fall In Love as well as lesser known songs, P.S I Love You and the title track Out of this World. Aided by musical director Paul Higgs they have chosen a selection of songs by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer as the vehicle for their interpretations. Many of these songs are established jazz standards. Although Cotton and Monfort retain some jazz elements their delivery also reflects the origins of the songs as show tunes. Their influences include Doris Day, Dean Martin and Judy Garland as well as Ella Fitzgerald. Both Cotton and Monfort have a background in theatre, dancing and West End musicals and this comes across in their sassy, extrovert versions of "Accentuate The Positive" and "Lets Fall In Love".I'm more at home with the stripped down, blues inflected approach of "Come Rain Or Come Shine", which to me shows Monfort's voice in it's best light. She is excellent here and is well supported by the versatile Higgs at the piano. Higgs also contributes guitar, trumpet and melodica over the course of the album."Laura" is one of a number of tracks to feature Latin rhythms, a reflection of Monfort's Spanish ancestry and her love of dance. This version features the warm vocal of Cotton. The title track showcases the duo's close harmony work and is undeniably well executed."Old Black Magic" is extrovert and brassy, it's Latin rhythms featuring drummer Geoff Lardner and percussionist Graham Cutill. Saxophonist Mark Allaway also shows up strongly."P.S. I Love You" is another feature for Monfort and the sparse backing of piano, Lardner on brushes and Allaway on tasteful tenor is just the ticket."Paper Moon" is a bouncy duet with scat vocals from Cotton and Monfort and "I'm Old Fashioned" also sees them sharing the vocal duties. "Old Fashioned" is probably my pick of the duet numbers with Allaway's clarinet adding much to the enjoyment."Charade", also a duet, benefits from a skilful arrangement and Higgs' distinctive melodica. "Blues In The Night" is just a great song and Jerome Davis' resonant bass and Higgs' growling, bluesy trumpet add much to the atmosphere. "Autumn Leaves" is a feature for Cotton with sympathetic backing from Higgs at the piano. There's no doubt that he's good at what he does.An exuberant "Get Happy" takes the album out on a swinging note, the breezy vocals backed up by a punchy brass arrangement. Those ...
