Here's a Latin-pop crossover anyone with two eyes could have seen coming a mile away. Enrique Iglesias is possessed of a vocal style that obviously has its roots in the rich, romantic Latin ballad tradition, but he's too much the modernist (and aspirant icon) to leave it at that. Buoyed by lush, carefully crafted arrangements, Iglesias incorporates elements of Anglo pop and even some contemporary R&B into COSAS DEL AMOR. From his suave demeanor on the album cover to his impassioned, sensual vocal style, Iglesias stands as something of a Latin Love God, and he doesn't need to sing in English to achieve international appeal among the romantically inclined (especially those of the female gender).
