Peter Bogdanovich - Director: George Hickenlooper The times of Peter Bogdanovich in Archer City, Texas depicting the off-stage drama during the shoot of the ill fated follow up of "The Picture Show, Texasville." Featuring Cybill Shepard, Jeff Bridges, Timothy Bottoms, Sam Bottoms, Polly Platt, Randy Quaid, Ben Johnson and others. Also Monty Hellman "An American Auteur" and "The Art of Acting and the Suicide Chair" with Dennis Hopper. Peter Bogdanovich created an American film classic with his black and white drama THE LAST PICTURE SHOW. A quarter of a century later, Bogdanovich assembled many in the original cast including Jeff Bridges, Randy Quaid, Cybill Shepherd, and the Bottoms brothers to create a sequel based on a follow-up novel TEXASVILLE by original author Larry McMurtry. The shooting was fraught with problems and drama behind the scenes and the film was a unqualified bomb upon its release. This documentary looks at both the original and the sequel, explaining the trying circumstances over both shoots and how TEXASVILLE became such a failure.

Picture This DVD From George Hickenlooper (HEARTS OF DARKNESS: A FILMMAKERS APOCALYPSE about the making of APOCALYPSE NOW) comes this award-winning documentary about the making of another ‘70's classic THE LAST PICTURE SHOW – director Peter Bogdanovich's Academy Award™ Winning masterpiece filmed in a small Texas town… PICTURE THIS follows Bogdanovich to Texas where he candidly reflects on the demise of his marriage, his affair with actress Cybill Sheperd, the murder of his girlfriend Dorothy Stratten, his collaboration with Pulitzer Price-winning novelist Larry McMurtry and the personal traumas suffered by the cast, crises, which bore an uncanny resemblance to the characters they were portraying. PICTURE THIS both humorously and provocatively deconstructs the layers of fiction and reality that went into the turbulent making of Bogdanovich's triumphant work ""The Last Picture Show"" which was acclaimed as ""the greatest film since Citizen Kane.""

$21.29 THE WHOLE TEN YARDS: In hiding in Mexico, hit man Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski (Bruce Willis) has become a veritable Martha Stewart, cooking and cleaning up a storm. Meanwhile, his new wife Jill (Amanda Peet) is distraught that her own career as an assassin has yet to take off. When Jimmy's ex-wife Cynthia (Natasha Henstridge) is kidnapped by Hungarian mobster Lazlo Gogolak (Kevin Pollak), her husband, klutzy dentist Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky (Matthew Perry) turns to Jimmy for help. Soon, Jimmy, Jill, and Oz are involved in a game of cat and mouse with Lazlo and his men trying to trade Cynthia for Lazlo's dim-witted adult son, whom the trio has kidnapped. But do Jimmy and his ex have a secret that they're not sharing with their spouses? Are their new marriages just an elaborate ruse in order to pull off a huge scam? And will Oz ever see his beautiful wife again? Directed by Howard Deutch (PRETTY IN PINK, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL), this sequel to THE WHOLE NINE YARDS is filled with quirky characters, amusing banter, and plenty of physical comedy. Pollak is particularly amusing as a master criminal surrounded by an inept team.
STARSKY AND HUTCH: Coming off the heels of his hilarious college romp OLD SCHOOL, director Todd Phillips returns with a film that mocks the television cop dramas of the 1970s. Based on the crime-fighting television series of the same name, STARSKY & HUTCH follows the exploits of two west coast detectives. David Starsky (Ben Stiller) is a by-the-books officer who would like nothing more than to expose his partner Hutch's bouts of inconsistency. Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson (Owen Wilson) is a far more open-minded spirit with a tendency for meandering. Added to the mix is the world's coolest informant, Huggy Bear (Snoop Dogg), who wears an endless parade of stylish outfits. Starsky and Hutch's rival is the charming yet brutal Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn), a maniacal drug lord with an absurd moustache who is prone to dramatic outbursts. Phillips uses freeze frames and slow-motion to up the comic ante, while Stiller and Wilson prove that they are a truly compatible duo, and, finally, Will Ferrell makes ...
