A fine album!! This is the best album!! I really love all the tracks!! GO AHEAD BOYS!!! By Jorge Nazur (ARGENTINA)
PSB Have Done It Again Being disappointed with the last two PSB albums ("Nightlife" and "Bilingual"), I wasn't quite sure what to expect once I heard that "Release" would be here spring 2002, but being a hardcore fan, I went ahead and pre-ordered the "limited edition" CD which contains a second disc of B-sides. After giving "Release" a thorough listening to, in all honesty, the "limited edition" is the one to buy! The first ten tracks of "Release" have our boys in a mellow-mood, with guitar being front and center. "Home & Dry" is quite infectious and it's the perfect choice as the first single. Other standout tracks include "Here", "The Night I Fell In Love", "Email" and "Samarai in Autumn". For consumers who are looking for a faster tempo, slip in the bonus disc and check out both "ambient" mixes of "Home & Dry" (especially the 2nd ambient mix), "Break 4 Love", the haunting "Always", and the incredible slower version of "Closer to Heaven" (the fast tempo version can be found on the previous PSB album "Nightlife"). As the title of my review says, the PSB have done it again! A+. By brian.thompson (New York, NY, USA)

Still going!!! The Pet Shop Boys definately know what they are doing. This album like all of the rest is perfect. Went to the concert for this CD and it was like getting your own private performance!! These guys are great!!!!!!! By Jewels (Dayton, NV)
What a letdown. For over 15 years, I have anticipated each new release from the Pet Shop Boys. This is the first release which has disappointed me. Dull, dull, dull melodies could not save some great lyrics. Thank God there is a bonus disc of more upbeat tunes. After 3 of the best albums of the 90s, I had no idea they would take a break like this. Not up to their own standards. By akerbrian (Cleveland, OH)
