MARVELOUS!!!!! SIMPLY MARVELOUS ALL I CAN SAY AND WILL SAY IS IF YOU ARE A "JOHNNIE TAYLOR" FAN YOU WILL LOVE THIS...BUY THIS CD......ASAP IT WILL BE MONEY WELL SPENT. WHEN YOU SEE AND HEAR HIM IN PERSON YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOUR EYE'S OR EARS. HE LOOKS AND SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE HIS FATHER. I KNOW JOHNNIE IS IN "SOUL HEAVEN" BEING VERY PROUD OF YOU. TRULY A LEGACY I am an avid Johnnie Taylor fan and this is like hearing Johnnie all over again. Floyd (his son), sounds so much like him, until its uncanning. He does not have the strength in his voice that Johnnie had, but I feel in time, that he will truly be the LEGACY. I enjoy this CD a lot, I know that you don't want to be compared to your father, but listening to this CD reminds me so much of the man that I love is gone...but you bring him out so we can all appreciate you as well as hear a little bit of The Whailer--Johnnie Taylor... We love you Floyd Submitted by a reviewer (Tallahassee, Florida) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Fabolous I never listen to blues music until I started going to clubs, it made me realize that alot of things in life are real and then I started listening to your music which gave me a since of direction and I knew if I started now then it was not to lake to reach my goalin life .I seen you in concert in Nashville, Tennessee and you sung "just Because and even though I was not close to that stage it felt as if you were singing directly to me."The Legacy is a beautiful peace of work keep it up! Hope to see you again soon.I still have that picture we took together and thanks for the kiss on the hand. Submitted by ClarkCheryl (Bowling Green,Kentucky, USA") Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Alexis Korner Kornerstoned: Anthology 1958-1983 CD (2006) (Import) United Kingdom
Legacy music CDs
$24.79 Gravel-voiced Alexis Korner is arguably the most important figure in the history of British blues - the inspiration for several generations of star musicians, from The Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin & beyond. This first-ever full-career retrospective spans everything from mid-50s skiffle to his final blues outings, via groundbreaking 60s R&B & his pop hits with CCs in the 70s. Two CD set. Castle. 2005.
While MUSICALLY RICH...AND FAMOUS documents the second half of British blues godfather Alexis Korner's career, KORNERSTONED adopts a more comprehensive approach, following the pioneering singer/guitarist from the very beginning of his musical life, all the way through every subsequent phase of his development. So we get not only his mid-1960s work with burgeoning blues-rock giants like Paul Rodgers and Steve Marriott, but also his `50s ...

| | Geoff Muldaur Secret Handshake CD (1998)
Legacy album
$10.69 (MP3 Available for Download) Personnel includes: Geoff Muldaur (vocals, guitar, pennywhistle, tambourine); Amos Garrett, Stephen Bruton (guitar); Eric Levine (fiddle); John Nicholas (piano); Bill Rich (bass); Larry Thompson (drums); Kester Smith (congas). Engineers include: James Tuttle, Jay Hudson, Paul Wickliff. Geoff Muldaur, alumnus of Jim Kweskin & the Jug Band and Paul Butterfield's Better Days, came back in 1998 with his first solo album in several years, and the self-assuredness that permeates Secret Handshake was well worth the wait. Muldaur, always an eccentric interpreter of other people's material (his version of "Brazil" pervades the soundtrack of the Terry Gilliam film with the same name), takes on a batch of his favorite old country-blues tunes and adds a couple of atmospheric originals to the mix as well. But rather than the standard, reverent solo acoustic approach, Muldaur definitely puts his own touch on each and every obscure chestnut that's here, with nary a one resembling the original version. Recorded over the course of a year in a variety of studios across the U.S.A., he has assembled a first-rank cast of players including Turner Stephen Bruton on guitar, Bill Rich on bass, and Larry Thompson on drums, with Hal Ketchum, Sean Hopper, Lenny Pickett, David Grisman, Amos Garrett and John Magnie all making guest appearances. Highlights include ...
