Second Audio Track; Soundtrack English; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Behind The Scenes; DTS Sound The story of an individual who is born and raised on a ship, learning about people and the outside world through interactions with the ship's rotating passengers, THE LEGEND OF 1900 comes from director Guiseppe Tornatore. When a deckhand, Boodman (Bill Nunn), discovers a newborn baby on January 1, 1900, he Christens him Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon 1900. A freak accident takes the life of the older Boodman, and 1900 (Tim Roth) is looked after by other members of the ship's crew. As he grows up, he learns to accept the crew as his family and the ship as his home. A glimpse of an individual playing a piano intrigues 1900, and before long he's a well-accomplished adult pianist. The legend reaches land and eventually earns 1900 visits from Jelly Roll Morton (Clarence Williams III) and a member of the music industry who wants to record him. The song that 1900 plays is dedicated to a beautiful young woman (Melanie Thierry) who threatens to lure him off the ship. Sheepishly, he stays. All of this is told in flashback, remembered by 1900's despondent friend Max (Pruitt Taylor Vince) as he prepares to pawn his trumpet. When he discovers that the ship is about to be sunk, he is convinced that 1900 is still on it somewhere and the frantic race is on to save his friend. Legend Of 1900 Movie Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Great Movie If you like music, you'll love thhis picture. Submitted by sonyboy48 (Puerto Rico) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 2 found this helpful.
Best soundtrack since Amadeus The movie was very "Titanic" like in its imagery, the main character's love affair with the sea, and his piano. The music is to be heard to be believed, and I found the costuming and period pieces quite compelling. I would love to find a soundtrack of it somewhere, because the melodies were quite haunting. Great flick.]! This is a thoroughly enjoyable film that is quite underrated by US critics. Apparently we don't understand the importance of fable or tall tales in our life experience. I seldom purchase films, but this was a "must." Submitted by a reviewer (Lakewood, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 2 found this helpful. This review is for a different format.

Legend Of 1900 DVD From Giuseppe Tornatore, director of the Academy Award-winning "Cinema Paradiso," comes this magical fable of an extraordinary man who lives a remarkable life without setting foot on land. Abandoned atop a piano and raised by a lowly crew member in the bowels of a luxurious cruise ship, the boy is dubbed 1900 for the year he was born. As he grows up, he is drawn to the piano and discovers he has an amazing gift for creating music. The prodigy dazzles the passengers, and his reputation spreads around the world, with record producers clamoring to capture his magic. But he refuses to leave the ship to pursue promised fame and fortune. Only when he spots a beautiful girl on board does he become determined to join the outside world and live a normal life. But is that the life he really wants? With a beautiful score by Academy Award nominee Ennio Morricone (Days of Heaven, The Untouchables) and heartfelt performances by Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction, Planet of the Apes) as 1900, Pruitt Taylor Vince (JFK, Wild at Heart) as his trumpet player pal and Clarence Williams III (Purple Rain, Reindeer Games) as jazz legend Jelly Roll Morton, this lyrical, transcendent film will strike a chord in your heart.

Legend Of 1900 film
$21.43 Dan Brown’s novels are packed with fascinating historical tidbits which he ingeniously twists into plots that are so intricate and complex that there is a constant need to inform the reader with exposition, often leaving little room for character development. There is a bit of this stilted quality to ANGELS AND DEMONS, the second of Brown’s novels to be brought to the big screen by the tandem of Ron Howard and Tom Hanks, but more than enough intense action to keep the eyes of the audience as busy as their minds. The details of the plot are as diabolical as any in Hollywood history: after the pope’s death, a nefarious organization stashes an antimatter bomb somewhere in the Vatican, threatening to annihilate the conclave of cardinals who are meeting to elect the papal successor. To pass ...

$10.35 This World War II comedy stars Cary Grant in an uncharacteristic turn as Walter Eckland. Walter is an unshaven bum who inhabits a deserted island in the South Seas. Completely boozed up, unshaven, and badly dressed, Walter is a watcher for Japanese spy planes. An Australian Navy Commander, Frank Houghton (Trevor Howard) has pressed Walter, who once had his own cruiser at the beginning of the war, to become the sole occupant of a strategic watching station. It is into this world that smart and sexy Catherine Frenau (Leslie Caron) is drawn when Walter, en route in a dinghy to rescue another watcher, stumbles on to the schoolteacher and a flock of seven ...

Legend Of 1900 video
$10.29 THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is a magical phenomenon unlike anything ever before seen onscreen. Borrowing largely from cinema's horror conventions, the film begins as an innocent young couple is stranded at the home of a mad scientist who is building the perfect man. The castle is filled with a most bizarre group of characters who worship their master, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played magnificently by the fabulously sexy Tim Curry, in leather jacket, pearls, fishnet stockings, and heavy makeup. Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) are forced to examine their own sexuality as the voluptuous doctor releases the hidden desires in each of them.
Based on the stage musical by Richard O'Brien (who also appears in the film as Riff Raff), the film comes alive with unforgettable song-and-dance numbers ...

Legend Of 1900 film
$5.69 A charming, low-key romantic comedy, MURPHY'S ROMANCE is full of the small pleasures missing from other pictures of its genre. James Garner, in his first Oscar-nominated performance, is the title character, Murphy. Garner lends his unique, down-home persona to the character while the film's writers endow the character with some memorable lines. Murphy's romance begins when Emma (Field) arrives in the small Arizona town where he lives. ...

Legend Of 1900 review
$23.65 A two-pack of two family hits, HOOK and LITTLE WOMEN.
HOOK (PG): Director Steven Spielberg brings J.M. Barrie's PETER PAN to the screen with a delightfully modernized twist. Forty-year-old Peter (Robin Williams) has grown up to be a workaholic lawyer with more affection for his cell phone than his wife and two children. When the family travels to England to visit Granny Wendy (Maggie Smith), Peter's son and daughter are kidnapped by the villainous Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman). Peter's faithful pal, Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts), helps him return to Neverland--"Second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning"--to the world Peter has forgotten. There the Lost Boys welcome Peter back and try to get him in shape for his fight with Captain Hook. Peter must somehow remember his long-forgotten boyhood in Neverland and learn how to fly again before he can rescue his children away from the evil clutches of Captain Hook. Bob Hoskins costars as Hook's right-hand man, Smee, and Gwyneth Paltrow, in her first film role, plays the young Wendy. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Song for John Williams's "When You're Alone."
LITTLE WOMEN (PG): The fourth screen ...
