Everything about this album is so so so so so killin'. Wayne brings together a ridiculous quartet on this album, and what makes it even better . . ITS LIVE!
If you can't dig a live album, you need to revise your conception of jazz and rethink your appreciation of it. Its not about a pristine take on a studio recorded album. Its about this album . . that raw feel that oozes from the solos and the vocal emotion evoked by these musicians.
Brian Blade, one of the funkiest jazz drummers on the scene today. John Patitucci, one of the most versatile and killin bassists on the scene today. Danilo Perez, simple simply killin. And of course, Wayne, classic, killin, soulful . . . BUY THIS ALBUM! IT WILL CHANGE YOU!
