(3 Customer Reviews)
Twilight Time, Stratovarius' second album, went a long way towards establishing their fan base in Japan, in part because it's where their melodic, retro-British/power metal sound really started to jell. Originally released on Bluelight in 1992, then internationally by Shark, Twilight Time was reissued in the U.S. in 1999. ~ Steve Huey
Recorded at Millbrook Studio, Helsinki, Finland.
Stratovarius: Timo Tolkki (vocals, guitar); Anti Ikonen (keyboards); Jari Behm (bass); Tuomo Lassila (drums).
Producers: Timo Tolkki, Stratovarius.

Stratovarius is the best!!! just as the headline says "Stratovarius is the best!!!" Every single one of there cds do not disappoint. well I dont have they one they named Stratovarius but its probably good as well. If you like the stratovarius sound then get their cds especially this one Submitted by Dante (FROM HELL!!!) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
The Premiere Power Metal Timo Tolkki, as everyone knows, is quite the guitarist. Now, before the Kiss of Judas (Visions) or Hunting High and Low (Infinite) there was Out of the Shadows, Break the Ice, Twighlight Time, and so forth. What we have here are great songs, and a great vision by a great musician, but the lacking of the band members to fulfill the ultimate visions. (I do love this cd, and even though Timo Kotikelpo's voice is much better then Tolkki's, I have to say Tolkki is not really that bad of a singer.
Great CD, fans of Stratovarius should check it out, but if you havn't heard the band yet, I recommend Visions, Episode, or Destiny first.

| | Stratovarius Episode CD (1996)
Twilight Time CD music
$10.45 Originally released in 1996, their fifth release was a greatsuccess for these masters of melodic metal. For the first time, choirs and a symphonic orchestra are introduced to their music and the effect is amazing. Now includes the bonus track 'When The Night Meets The Day'. 13 tracks
Episode is indeed a big step for Stratovarius. It's the album on which they finally reached the sound that would last for years. So everything seems to be all right, except for the fact that Episode doesn't work so well as a whole. There are perfect hits like "Father Time," "Will the Sun Rise," and "Speed of Light," but the rest of the material fails in comparison, as is isn't as catchy or well put together. But despite these small lacks, Episode is very enjoyable. Each member of Stratovarius is a virtuoso of his instrument, and ever since Fourth Dimension they've played very well together. The best thing, however, is the diverse sound, which compensates for the lack of good songs. So, if you enjoyed the last two Stratovarius albums, ...

| | Thin Lizzy Bad Reputation CD (1977)
Twilight Time music CDs
$6.49 Irish rock outfit Thin Lizzy gained worldwide status with its summer anthem, "The Boys Are Back in Town," a Springsteen pastiche of summer nights, male bonding, and the occasional fist fight or two. Although the band never released another single that equaled its impact, Thin Lizzy was enjoying both a commercial as well as creative peak during the mid- to late '70s. BAD REPUTATION is arguably the band's last "great" album. The radio-ready single, "Dancing in the Moonlight" is nearly as winning as the aforementioned "Boys" and the pumping title track is a classic Thin Lizzy mixture of twin guitars, bravado, and a dash of menace. Although singer Phil Lynott had a habit of crossing over into overblown machismo, more often than not the soulful tear in his voice along with the band's ...
