| It's sooo bad, it's good! This USA Up All Night! standard is a true gem of an independent film. This movie proves the only thing more campy than a room full of drag queens is a movie about a room full of drag queens...in space no less. Everything about this film is No-budget, from the cheesy effects and minature sets (many made from old compacts and nail polish bottles) to the kooky set design and recycled plot. This is the best BAD movie I've seen in a long time. A definate must have. By a reviewer (Tulsa, OK) |

Night Gallery - The Complete First Season DVDs (1970) Top Seller
Vegas in Space film Rod Serling branched out from his "Twilight Zone" television series in the early 1970s with NIGHT GALLERY. The material was darker than most Serling-fans had come to expect, with plenty of horror and creepy chills included in each episode. A constant throughout the show was the eerie beginning, which would involve a painting in an old museum depicting events which were about to unfold. Serling provided a suitably spooky introduction to each tale, and then a variety of special guests actors would play out the action. This release offers 29 episodes from the first season of the show, including the original pilot episode.
The complete first season of this horror classic was hosted by Twilight Zone's Rod Serling. 2 stories are included, directed by Steve Spielberg. Special guest ...

Love Object DVD (2004)
Vegas in Space review LOVE OBJECT is the deeply disturbing story of a man and his anatomically correct sex doll. Kenneth (Desmond Harrington) is the star tech writer at a soulless Los Angeles firm. He is robotic and repressed until a co-worker shows him a picture of Nikki, a $10,000 sex doll. It's love at first sight for poor Kenneth, and soon he is sharing sex, conversation, and even waltzes with this inanimate object of his dreams. At the same time a new face enters his life in the form of a cute coworker named Lisa (Melissa Sagemiller). The two female figures become entwined in Kenneth's mind and he begins to dress Nikki like Lisa and vice versa. As his real-life romance blossoms, the spirit of Nikki starts to come alive, stalking him in nightmares and dominating him via S&M. Kenneth tries to get rid of her, but learns it's not so easy. That's only the start of the lurid insanity at play in this well-crafted little indie. By the blood-spattered climax it gets almost unbearably intense and unnerving, but before that there's some genuinely nice chemistry between the two leads. Both actors handle the material with enough respect and care that it transcends its Hitchcockian psycho-shocker roots to become genuinely touching and tragic. Rip Torn plays Kenneth's boss and Eurosleaze icon Udo Kier has a fun part as a depraved next-door neighbor.
This horror DVD film was seen at the Tribecca, Munich, San Sebastian Horror & Fantasy, Fantasia, and Philadelphia Film Festivals. Kenneth was in love from the minute he took Nikki out of her box. Anatomically correct, complete with instructions and 100% lifelike silicone, she was exactly as he had ordered. With his newfound love, Kenneth's once desolate and lonely life took a turn for the better and everyone noticed...including Lisa. However spending more time with Lisa meant spending less time with Nikki, and it wasn't long before Kenneth realized that Nikki was a doll with some evil intentions!
