Bandidos Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) how to destroy a great film OK, so first of all the synopsis for this movie is incorrect, it is not in Mexico city, but rather in "provincia" with beautiful mexican scenaries, woods, meadows and all the rest. However, this synopsis fits very elocuently to what "Vanguard International Cinema" did to this movie.
The movie seems to have been taken from someone with a camera inside a cinema, the image is horrible and it destroys the beautiful photography work in the film. This DVD is grainy, old looking, blurry, and simply stated: nasty.
The other big problem in this DVD release is the sound, it is very low and very badly edited. The speech often gets overwhelmed by background sounds and there are often changes in the volume of speech and background, as well as music. I will not talk about the English subtitles as they are aweful too (bad translating, and often off cue) and cannot be removed from the screen.
This is one of my favorite films, the people who released this DVD however should be ashamed, it is almost worth throwing to the trash because that is what they did: trashed a piece of art.
Try to see this movie in a cinema, or in another version so you can appreciate the beauty of the colors, the scenic views of Mexico's provincia and nature, and to appreciate what is said in the film. Submitted by Angel (Stony Brook, NY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$41.75 This is PFM's brilliant follow up to Storia di Amico, both of which are considered progressive rock classics, and for good reason. The diversity, complexity, and integrity of the music here is as fine as anything produced during the early '70s from other prog rock giants such as Yes, Genesis, or King Crimson. The lyrics are in Italian and, while used sparingly, make a valuable contribution to the session's integrity. The music is constantly shifting in style, tempo, and time, but are all held together by recurring themes. Mauro Pagani's airy flute is the perfect antidote to Francone Mussida's aggressive guitar, while Flavio Premoli's keyboard work rivals that of contemporaries such as Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman. The music ranges from avant-garde to hard rock and everything in between. Always intelligent, but without pretension, this ...
