| | Johnny Cash Greatest Hits CD - Import Johnny Cash Discography of CDs
This collection catches up with Johnny Cash right after his Sun Records rockabilly period. He moved over to Columbia at the tail end of the 1950s, just when the initial salvo of rock & roll was dying out, responding to their promise of creative freedom. The mostly-'60s hits included here find him embracing that freedom, perhaps nowhere as tellingly as on "Ring of Fire," the June Carter/Merle Kilgore-penned gem in which surreal biblical imagery meets mariachi trumpets in an unlikely but brilliant production. Cash acknowledges the '60s folk boom with covers of Dylan's "It Ain't Me, Babe" and Pete La Farge's American Indian protest song "The Ballad of Ira Hayes." An anti-violence message is portrayed with a minimum of didacticism and a maximum of organic poetry on "Don't Take Your Guns to Town." Columbia's GREATEST HITS provides an excellent guide through Johnny Cash's '60s.
Personnel includes: Johnny Cash, June Carter (vocals).

Greatest Hits album
$10.39 This is a Hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both Super Audio and regular CD players.
Once known as hard-core blues/R&B traditionalists, the Stones plunged deeper into the waters of original songwriting on BETWEEN THE BUTTONS, leading to a golden age of classic albums including LET IT BLEED, BEGGAR'S BANQUET, and EXILE ON MAIN STREET. In addition to scoring a double-sided smash-hit single in "Let's Spend The Night Together" backed with the baroque-pop "Ruby Tuesday," BUTTONS was also the last album produced by then-manager/svengali ...

Greatest Hits CD music
$9.09 LIFELINES LIVE features songs from the WNET public television special "Great Performances".
Peter, Paul & Mary's 1995 album LifeLines Live was a kind of "duet" album that found them sharing microphones with such mentors as the surviving Weavers, such contemporaries as Judy Collins, and such descendants as John Gorka, performing a set of old favorites and a few new songs. In January 1996, the trio staged a TV concert at Sony Studios in New York where they reassembled some of the original guest stars with a few substitutions. The result was one of the more impressive video performances of the year. LifeLines Live is a soundtrack album to the TV special, and if it's less interesting than the broadcast version, that's only because there is a certain redundancy: One already has access to the original album, which ...

Greatest Hits music CDs
$14.05 Finnish sword-wielding berserkers Turisas cemented their name within the hallowed halls of the Viking metal scene in 2004 with the seminal Battle Metal, creating an entire subgenre fueled by what can only be described as "over the top everything." Churning out records to accompany muted viewings of 300 or the Lord of the Rings trilogy is nothing new (Manowar has been it doing it for years), but on the ambitious Varangian Way the group takes it one step further, creating its own unique narrative. Built around the epic journey of a group of traders, mercenaries, and pirates ("Varangians") exploring trade routes between their 9th century homeland and Constantinople, Varangian Way is infinitely more cinematic in scope than Battle Metal, employing narration, accordions, and massive choirs (the group still relies on main man Warlord Nygård's tasteful keyboard work ...
