Most tribute albums, for better or worse, pay homage to the artist by covering some of their finest hits. However, don't be fooled by this title. There are no David Bowie songs anywhere to be found on this record. It is an entire album paying tribute in song to Ziggy, and the results couldn't be further from Bowie's legacy. Mastered from a cassette tape that was found underwater and recorded over a poor telephone connection, David Hart thought it a good idea to muddle the entire album in flange and phasing, making the album retain no sense of bottom end within in the mix, and the vocals rendered non-intelligible in a non-deliberate way. The album opens with the epic "Johnny Saves the World," and it all goes downhill from here. References both obvious and obscure are all over from start to finish, which is probably the only thing worthy of mention. And while the intentions and tribute are sincere, sometimes it's best to just write a fan letter like everyone else. ~ Rob Theakston

It's the affect that Bowie music had on us and then we made music in that affected state. How strange is that? Pretty freaken strange. Thing is we did it, it exists and now we're committed Yeah it's fun having fun because we have our own little party going on and no one knows about it. Give listen.All joking aside it's just a really strange way to approach making new music but we did it and thought OK let's release it. Johnny saves the world is a spoof, as is Space Monkeys, The night sits motionless is for Timothy Leary,Laughter of Life is a serious song.
